the way they are preparing the Ahmedabad picthes, one pacer is enough if we continue with 3 spinners. Rather we include Mayank as a sixth batsman.

Umesh and Siraj shud play, Ishant isnt as good with SG red ball as he is with kookabura or Duke but Kohli will go for Ishant

Ahmedabad has been traditionally high scoring ground.  3 spinneywont do any harm. But our batting is weak

Which pace bowler would want to even play on such pitches? We will destroy the interest of youngsters in pace bowling

For test matches it should be Avesh. He has been playing A-team 4 day games ( showing that he is next in line ) and averages 23.01 in FC cricket with s SR of 44.8.

 

This season he has got back to full fitness and is bowling at good pace. He is tall and gets extra bounce too. Accuracy is good.

 

Bowling excellent channel balls that move both ways. Has developed a good quick yorker.

 

Looking forward to his inclusion as he is looking like an experienced pacer now.

Looks like Avesh is next in line followed by Warrier/Rajpoot. Tyagi is raw as far as longer format is concerned.

Bro, I was watching Avesh bowl in SMAT 2021 today  (  Hotstar full replay ).

 

He was looking really good. Bowling very apt deliveries with accuracy and beating batsmen for pace almost every ball.

Kohli said after the match that Bumrah had told him jokingly that he was getting workload management even while playing a match. 

 

Bumrah is a fiercely dedicated cricketer and wanted to play the 4th test in Australia despite injury. 

 

The fact that he has withdrawn due to personal reasons shows that he feels he won't be needed in the 4th test. Even if there was a small chance that Bumrah was needed for India to win, I think he would have played.

 

We have top class fast bowlers now. Prepare spin friendly tracks by all means but please don't prepare pitches which discourage our dangerous fast bowlers and and make them feel irrelevant. 

 

This will push back Indian cricket by 30 years again.

Yes I am worries by That. I think this is a one off only because WTc is on the line. 

 

Hell the pitches prepared vs South Africa is perfect. Flat but little help for spin and some reverse. Perfect for our bowlers. 

 

Out batting is a major concern. I think that's why we opted for spin tracks. Our bats are not confident enough due to poor form at the moment in flat tracks.

Do you know Sir Umesh Yadav.
We call him Indian Malcolm Marshall, if you wanna see what fast bowlers can do on such pitches plz watch the next match.
This guy basically runs in with full flow, bowls randomly on any spot with full speed and the ball somehow breaks the stumps.
