Clown doesn't belong anywhere in the top 10.. Rohit has been extremely impressive given the conditions, bowlers he is facing and the number he is batting at. Unfortunately his runs are not being rewarded thanks to the spineless Indian middle order. He and Rahul are the only 2 proper batsmen for India at the moment.

Root has always been a thorn for India and I will be curious to watch how he will fare against other teams at this point in his career. I feel our bowlers somehow don't capitalize his weaknesses enough. He is an aggressive batsmen and we always end up giving runs at a fast clip to him.

IMHO, Rohit should drown out all the noise on not being able to convert his scores and just march on.

He will be rewarded soon and I'm sure of it.

Who could have guessed a year ago lol

I had a idea when RAT was falling to part time spinners in UAE in IPl..  I knew dude will fail soon.  But even he has exceeded all the limits & falling with some great speed.

Rohit despite past his peak is making most of whatever he has left.

After 13 years of playing cricket Rohit Sharma is finally ranked ahead of his fierce rival Virat Kohli. So glad for him, finally he can say he achieved his lifelong dream, although it might not last long.

Actually, this is the only way he could have gone ahead, wait for Kohli's form to drop and score 40 odds in overseas conditions.

Champion Rohit :cheer:takes 5th

And Root moves to #1

Look at the difference between 4 and 5, massive. Top 4 are just in another universe.

Instead of being within striking distance of Cummins before home season, Ashwin will lose 50+ points by the end of this series Every time you miss a test you lose a certain number of points, even playing and getting 2 wickets in a test is better than not playing when it comes to points. Now Cummins won't be caught, he hasn't missed a test for over 4 years now. Even Hazlewood, Anderson and NZ quicks may jump past Ashwin.

Would have been cool to see an Indian lead the charts in bowling, since it is rare. Only 2 have managed it, Bedi some time in early 70s (peak rating <800) and Ashwin for a great part of 2015-17 (peak rating 904).

Ashwin did well in that period. a pity he can't capitalize now thanks to rat's policies

I didn't say everyone is an idiot but those who support Rohit Sharma based on his exploits against minnows in batsman friendly conditions either due to regionalism or rose tinted glasses.

If you admit to be one of those idiots, which it appears to be so, more power to you, you proved my point to the tee.

he was arguably the player of the series in Eng.

LOL.

First test single handedly was Rahul.

2ND test was Rahul and then in 2nd innings was Shami and Bumrah batting which won the game hands down.

But yes, if you add inconsequential innings when there is zero pressure just enough to save one's spot sure.

How quickly people forget with Stat padding, most people don't see impact of player just the numbers and numbers don't tell the truth.

you must have been watching a different series.
