care to check Rohit’s performance in Wc 2019 in England.

and no these weren’t typical 400 run English wickets either.

No one in their right mind would pick Roy or Bairstow over Rohit in any conditions.

On flat pitches you have a guy who can hit 200’s for fun and tricky surfaces has a lot more technique.

Rohit......Warner.....Roy/Bairstow.....rest

yea true. these dudes here love to overrate the great English hacks due to one fluke wc win. sorry 'draw'.

Do you think the greatest car is the Ambassador?

Why Sachin and Ganguly, and not Greenidge/Haynes then?

Because Sachin is the greatest odi opener of all time and arguably the GOAT batsman, this tilts the balance in favour of ganguly-Sachin combo.

Well they won the World Cup, the ultimate price in eyes of millions of Indian fans.

There legacy as most destructive opening pair is sealed, sealed with World Cup winners medal.

Are they the first set of openers who won a world cup? Lol

Rohit is definitely ahead of the other openers in this era.

What a stupid take. Following your lack of logic the next team to win a WC will have the greatest opening pair because reasons.

That vaunted greatest batting attack of all time scored the exact same number of runs in the final as NZ. That doesn’t change the fact NZ batting was just a bit over bang average and not one of the greatest of all time.

England tied that WC because their bowling way over performed its typical output.

In 2019 Final (since apparently WC championship is only thing that matters to icf brain trust) Roy / Bairstow scored a whopping 53 runs. Guptill / Nicholls went for 74. Obviously Guptill / Nicholls are the greatest of all time.

Chasing tricky scores in SF v Aus and F v NZ, I will take those runs from the openers

12 century stands in 42 innings so far puts them level with Sehwag and Tendulkar who did it in 93 innings

absolutely crap. Bairstow and roy are kings of flat pitches. Most runs have come on flat odi decks of aus and England. Remember its because of these insanely flat pitches just before world cup 2019 we were wondering we would have teams making 400. Now consider sehwag tendulkar ganguly even for gambhir for that matter.. they played innings across the globe with one new ball and 5 fielders out from over no 15. It had reverse swing from over no 30..ganguly tendulkar sehwag played in Sharjah Colombo Dhaka pitches in windies pakistan kenya south africa aus eng.. played a hell lot of matches across different stadiums in india without lush outfields where ball used to get scuffed up.. pitches were not road like it was now.. hell the independence day dhaka finals were played under football floodlights.. and many of these matches even in India were day matches without dew.. also IPL had not come

into the horizon.. bairstow roy maybe good but not better than hayden gilchrist ganguly sehwag and sachin..

Sour grapes...besides I said Bairstow and Roy are certainly most destructive in ODIs, given them flat tracks and they will blast 100 in 10 overs. Not many can match them

Dont let logic smack your tiny brain on the way.

England's WC win ranks amongst the worst in history, along with Pakistan 92.

3 defeats in the group stages and a draw in the final to win. Only the Pakistani in 92 won with such objectively bad overall performances.

Finally someone with actual cricket knowledge.
