Is Mental Level of Kids across the border is higher than my Country (Pakistan)?

The problem here is you are projecting your personal experience as a universal truth for all religions.

I consider myself an Atheist and coming out to my family has been underwhelming and the consequences of being an Atheist Hindu are none. I am sure a more conservative family might have reacted differently but Atheism, in general, is not a big deal.

Also there is no fear factor. You are not doomed to eternal hell in Hinduism for being an Atheist.

I am talking about Western Society. It may be that Jewish and Christian kids have less problems in leaving their religion, but issue is this that till the time they are free in taking their kids to churches and synagogues for worship and  free to tell the kids that they Jews/Christians by birth,  then in no way you could ban Muslims Families from taking their children to mosques and madrasas and brainwashing them.

Therefore, LAW could only be same for ALL religions, and it is not possible to give exceptions in it.

Same seems to be true about Indian society too. One could not stop fanatic Deobandi/Wahabi/Shias to brainwash their children by taking them to mosques/madrasas till UNIFORM law is not made for all the religions.

And how to protect the Children in Islamic Countries from religious brainwashing? Only solution is this to apply this law universally, and then to compel Islamic countries too to follow it (Just like Western world first abolished slavery in their countries, and then later compelled Islamic countries to abolish it too).

===

At the end, let us look at it from another angle:     If Christian/Jews/Hindu families are really so secular that they don't mind their children leaving their religions, why then they still insist upon taking children to churches/mandirs and ask them to worship, and to tell them that they are Christian/Hindus by birth?

Here's what I've learnt here wrt kids

Making the kid spout AAP talking points is politically awareness.

Taking them to a temple is brainwashing.

Who's representing the cult now ?

Please remember here RW members have objected that liberals have brainwashed this 10 years old girl in politics. And they were of opinion that children should not be allowed to indulge in politics till adulthood (i.e. till they are 21 years old).

And I have already accepted this argument of RW members, and differed only that age should not be 21, but it should be 18.

Now again the ball went into the court of RW, when I raised this issue that children should not only kept away from political brainwashing, but also from religious brainwashing too till adulthood. But at religious brainwashing, the RW does not seems to agree and want to keep religious brainwashing legal.

Therefore, if you are blaming me for Double Standards, then I respectfully disagree.

Taking kids to a temple isn't brainwashing. Temple visits are usually family events where all adults and children go.

I was 14 when I told my conservative Hindu family that I'm an atheist and they were absolutely fine with it. Not once did they criticize me. I still went to temples as my family was going.

You obviously have zero idea about the behavior of Hindus and you are saying that all religions brainwash kids based on your experience of being raised in a Muslim family.

As my parents were fine with me coming out as an Atheist, I never understood why ex-Muslims make so much fuss about becoming Atheists. It's only after I came across the threat ex-Muslims face from their own families did I realize what a cult Islam is. Don't make false equivalence between RW Islam and RW Hinduism. 90%+ RW Hindus or even more would be fine with their kids being Atheist unlike Muslims.

The double standard is quite visible for everyone, and it's uncommon for your nationality to not have the same. You may claim to be neutral & whatever but the way you throw mud on majority of Indians as extremists exhibits your bias. When asked to prove it with numbers, you run away since you know very well your propaganda doesn't have any basis.

Maybe 500 yrs down the line when humanity traverses planets the religious structures and beliefs or for that matter national boundaries may not have that importance. In the present day, Hindustan is a reality and an identity. It's really idiotic to compare political party with an identity. A billion people will seek the blessings of a diety on a daily basis but don't have a fraction of politics in their daily lives.

What really prevents you from realising your ideals in the land of the pure ? Why don't u advocate this outside your mosques to parents as well as to the maulvis ? Let the next gen pick their own ideology. Who knows, you could be the successor of Jinnah who brought the second azaadi to Pak sar zameen.

Unfortunately, kids are not only going to temples, but they are also taking part in the prayers and they are worshipping to Bhagwan there. They have been told by their parents that they are Hindus by birth. In one way or another, more or less, but parents are indeed influencing their children.

Let us assume you are correct about this figure of 90%+.

Now question is if 90% Hindu families are really so secular that they don't mind their children leaving their religions, why then they still insist upon taking children to mandirs and ask them to worship, and to tell them that they are Hindus by birth?

And another question also remains there, if you don't agree with this being a basic human right of Children (i.e. no religious brainwashing), how are you going to stop Muslim then from doing religious brainwashing of their children? There is no other solution possible except for such universal law which prohibits religious brainwashing of kids of all religions.

PS:

Even if we assume only 10% Hindu families oppose their kids for leaving Hinduism, still these 10% make 100 Million people. Why Kids of these 100 Million suffer the hardships in finding their own path?

Politics is part of life. Right from family to workspace, it is everywhere. Better to teach the kid the reality.

Nah !! I survived w/o politics for majority of my life. I will pass. There are many important and valuable things to learn in life, politics aint one of them.

Are you self-employed? There is no way you can escape from politics in Workspace. Especially in INdia.

Not all brainwashing are same. Hindus don’t brainwash their children that non-believers are to be treated worse than animals and are destined to go to hell. They are brainwashed to lead a ekPatni ideal man like Raam and not entitled to many partners. They are brainwashed to uphold their Dharma and fight who challenge the basis of Dharma. And Dharma is not religion. It is a code of ethics and discipline. This brainwashing doesn’t involve disrespecting other believers, and that is what parents fear. They fear that their own children will end up disrespecting them.

I think Indian education system is much better than Pakistani ones which is ultra backward.  Also Pak is not a open society as well.  All these factors make Indian kids more sharper than ones across the border.

Also I think an Pakistani high level urban center is equal to an mid level Indian town..

Pakistani Pinds & northern Areas are very very backward..

I didnt say I have not experienced it. I started noticing it as early as the age of 10. But I was happy when I didnt pay attention to it but surely it gets ugly. I could only survive because I have developed ability to absorb. Never mind you wont get it.

In politics, you have to take a side and remain committed to that side only. In my world, I look for balance and no matter how unpopular it is, I look for that innate balance. Balance doesnt mean going for something for the heck of it but knowing and accepting the truth and then sticking to it. It doesnt require whole lot of defending. In politics you have to accept good and bad of the side as a whole. I dont like it.

I asked both of my kids to look for a balance and the truth. Any extremism is bad. When we have a definitive side, then we are not seeking the truth but follow the mass. Seeking truth is not to conceive conspiracies but to know a method by which you know how to find the truth.

I think agree with almost everything. Basically, we are taught to fight inwards unlike others who are taught to fight outside. Society only changes when everyone is fighting inwards and the whole society changes as a result. It cannot be changed by books, organized and controlling institutions. Having said that this is all too good to be true. Very few people I noticed really understand the real essence of it. Rest indulge in ritualistic approach, some take to scholastic or philosophical approach which dont yield whole lot but at least it doesnt harm others.

India believes in freedom with responsibility and not a reckless freedom. Indian kids are given responsibilities and freedom in equal doses unlike western culture where freedom is birth right but responsibility is not. And in some other cultures, they completely control the freedom and they are neither taught to be responsible either. Virtue of responsibility equips us to use our freedom responsibly. I hope i am saying it right.

Yes hope religion dies in India for its own well being else we can expect Syria style civil war in India in future.

I don't share your gloomy outlook at all.

We've had our civil war in 1947 and learnt our lessons. We've picked a way. How much ever we may hate/dislike the 'other' co existence is our only option now.

@Alam_dar She is an outlier, average Indian 10 year olds are not like that.

Besides, political maturity does not equate to a clean corrupt free person, Kanhaiya Kumar is extremely smart but his intentions are not always in best interests of the nation.
