However mentally important for England to get beyond the semis whatever happens. They have broken that curse. Italy have been the team of the tournament. They will be favourites. I feel England need to play a 2-5-3 system against the 4-3-3 of Italy. With Spinazolla out of the tournament I dont think Italy pack the same punch down the left. Emerson has been ok. What I fear is Rice Philips and Mount will not be able to compete with Veratti and jorginho. If Veratti is given space in the middle of the field he will ping the ball Pirlo style. They even bought return gifts and paid for the domain name/hashtag for the wedding. Meanwhile, somebody in Wuhan leaked a virus/ate an undercooked pangolin ( take your pick) and the wedding had to be advanced indefinitely. After much to and fro, they finally got hitched just before the second wave hit the country. If I ask them when they got married they always say 2021, much to my chagrin. How could they be so stupid? The Europeans must be really smart to call their tournament Euro 2020 when it's played in 2021. Searing intellect. Just what the world needs. On a par with Ethiopia. Come on dude. The spanish celebrated like crazy when they reached the finals of the euros in 2008. Their last victory was in 1964 euros. Their best result in the interim was the quarter finals. Thats 44 years, which is not less. Despite producing some great teams on paper based on club football. I had a spanish friend who went ballistic from the semis onwards.

This is about football and in that context Eng are losers. Check the trophy cabinet. Italy also reached the final and their fans did not go on open bus tours and endless celebrations.
