nevada
He was 66 and is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son Was a good fielder, built some useful partnerships during the 83 WC win. He and Jimmy Amarnath almost ruined it with slow batting while chasing against England in the semi final. When they came in for lunch break(used to be 60 over matches with more breaks back then), apparently none of the team mates talked to them or even offered them water. When Jimmy asked what's going on, he was told the reason. After their partnership ended, Sandip Patil thrashed the English bowlers around to finish off the chase. Link to comment
ShoonyaSifar
Om Shanti to the departed soul. Yashpal Sharma was a wonderful human being with lovely stories. Always available to support young cricketers in Delhi. Back in the mid 2000s when he was a National selector for a few years, He would regularly attend Ranji Trophy matches in Delhi. Met him a few times at the Palam and Roshanara Grounds in Delhi. Jimmy Cliff, maniac and rollingstoned 3 Link to comment
