  1. Pujara - Woefully out of form, but if their is one thing he can do in poor form its playing out deliveries
  2. Vihari- He did open in Australia n did the job off seieng off new ball
  3. KL- He has been  an opener but TM is considering him now a middle order batsman
  4. Easwaran-  Someone whom TM doesnt look impressed at all

Who will be your choice ?

'Go for the jugular'

The opposition will fear KL Rahul more than C Pujara, A Eashwaran or H Vihari opening.

With KL Rahul opening there will be less disruption with rest of order.

Also his last test innings in England opening was 149.

Ideally push Pujara to open, have Rahane at 3 (as Kohli will not move from his no. 4), pick KL Rahul for no. 5 (pick him while he is in form)

I agree with Pujrara opening but Rahane at 3 is major lol. Kohli if he wants to win has to come in at 3 or even send KLR at 3. KLR can play the counter attacking kind of innings same with rat but Rahane will just edge to gully and walk off.

Pujara. Blunt the new ball. That's the only thing he can do these days. At least use it at a time when we need that, and have KL bat at 3 or 5

Thing is, in England ball will keep swinging through out, so blunting without scoring is useless. In fact we need someone who can score in first 10-15 overs as Duke balks only start swinging after that

Bro, you have developed a new theory.

The likes of Geoffrey Boycott and Gatting executed the exact same strategy and scored heaps of runs in england.

You have to blunt the new ball in England can't score well without doing that and yes scoring becomes easier as the games goes on. It's not just about the condition of the ball it's also about the confidence level of the batsman.

After playing 100 balls you definitely are much more assured but yes Pujji these days looks the same even after facing 200 balls lol but that doesn't mean that you discard the whole batting style.

Many have scored thousands of runs in England using the same strategy

he will blunt till the 2nd new ball without adding much runs but by then half of the Indian batting will be out to the first new ball and the other half to the 2nd
