Wouldn't mind Wood. We can handle pace and bounce but not swing.Wood is more suited to SA/Aus type pitches. His home record is mediocre

Broad was getting into nice rhythm on Day 4

Rohit & Kohli look comfortable against Pace n bounce.  Rohit needs to hold off his pull or at least Target square leg rather than Fine leg.  Wood will be tough customer to pull comfortably either way.

Others may have problem with his pace.  Pujara might look like a deer in headlights & we Know Rahane's short ball issues.

Yes the pull needs to be played with caution.Rohit threw away a start in first Test. Pull it down or keep it away.

Pujara might prefer pace.He won't pull and later it'll get easier if hes still there.Same template as Aus

Rahane struggles either way.

Pant will prefer pace too

I hate "Lord's," and I hate the snobbery associated with it.  I hate how it represents the worst of British pageantry and feudalism - from the silly English traditions to wanting still to be thought of as the best place to experience cricket.  I hated it when they decided to have the WTC final there before moving it to Southampton (who could've told the difference? It's all the same slush). Have they heard of Kolkata?  Melbourne?  Motera?  Where it may be sunny or hot and humid, but it's never dull, dreary, black-cloudy, wet, slushy, play 3 overs before you run for cover weather?

So, I can't wait for the Indian team to pummel the Poms in their snooty bloody backyard.  Someone bat like Vengsarkar 1986.  Someone bowl like Ishant Sharma 2014.  Don't make 2-test-novice Hameed look like freakkin Sunil Gavaskar and Moeen Ali look like Erapalli Prasanna.  And don't you all dare "rest" Siraj.

Go get 'em and crush 'em.

OH for real? Nevermind. Rofl the way paks were celebrating his selection made me think otherwise.

Bounce that little boy out. He is pretty goos though.

Amla is the Indian I hated the most when we used to play vs overseas players of indian origin. Gee he was a great player though.

Saw highlights of day4, the last hour when BUmrah bowled with the new ball, Indians really looked pumped up. And KL batting with purpose. All boundaries were clean shots, Pujara too was driving fine. I am pretty sure with no rain. India would have won the test, Eng saved by the rain. They have no batters except Root, and maybe AngRaaj. I wish they pummel the Poms to Pratt’s Bottom!

I will go with same 11, maybe at best replace Shardul with Ashwin

Broad hurt.  Cloudy hurt.

My conspiracy theory is that these Pommie snobs are lying and saving their "gems" for the supposedly more important, supposedly prestigious Ashes rather than play them against the peasants.  Now I want to crush them even more.

Reality is both these players have become max 2 tests at a time bowlers back to back if you make them bowl 45-50 overs minimum in a test. .  Best way for India to win is grind them with  atleast  one innings of 140+ overs as early as possible in this series . Once Andu is out , Robinson is the guy to worry .

Also finally ICC wakes up & Root goes past RAT in the rankings.  Nearly 60 point difference now suddenly shows they were dozing all this while:yousuck:

Root deserves to be over Labu as well tbf..

Looks like England are going to go with a bowling attack of

Wood

Curran

Saqib

Robinson

Moeen

On paper, it might look a lot weaker but trust me it's most definitely not. Especially Saqib can trouble our batters big time and we all know how we fare against debutant fast bowlers in SENA. Won't be surprised if he picks a fifer..

So they are looking to prepare green pitch

acc to the news pitch will be dry , even the NZ-ENG game looked good for batting

with this indian bowling and their fragile batting they shudnt even think about leaving grass , if they have called moeen ali means it ll be a dry surface
