Internet has such weird rumors once in a while. Like Raza Murad , a character actor in Bollywood (Sir John in RamLakhan) had become a COBOL Programmer and working for TCS in USA.

If true, that is pretty amazing. When I saw him in his brief career, he always struck me as a thinking bowler who made the most of his limitations.

Avishkar Salvi was to be an Indian incarnation of Glenn Mcgrath. He even modeled his action on his idol.

 

Unfortunatly he was not good enough for international cricket and fizzled out very quickly.

So, is this an urban legend or a fact? One cricketer who had tremendous academic success post cricket is D Suresh, the stylish batsman from Hyderabad. He was touted as the next Azharuddin, but his career got derailed for whatever reason. He left cricket, studied MBA and then became an IAS officer. He is currently an officer in Haryana.

He played some " airy-fairy " shots even  ... aiming for the skies even then
