They won't be able to fly out in time if they are tested positive.

Depends on when the results come back- if the PCR tests show positive today then its 10 days quarantine.. so yes then they wont be able to fly out in time.

Shastri and co have done a royal eff up.. if his head doesn't role then i dont know what is the point

ECB might face 40 million loss

The row over forfeiture or cancellation has huge ramifications for the ECB. If the match was forfeited by India then the ECB are covered by insurance for losses of around £40m, in the same way they would be if the game was forfeited for the death of a monarch or a terrorist attack.

But if the match was cancelled by Covid, the ECB are not covered by insurance leaving them with a huge whole (sic) in their finances, a year after losing £16m.

The ECB are furious that India’s head coach, Ravi Shastri, attended a book launch in London last week along with 150 members of the public. He was the first member of the India party to test positive. The book launch had not been cleared by the ECB’s covid compliance department.

The BCCI are refusing at this stage to forfeit the match and accept liability. It would mean the series is a 2-2 draw.

The matter could end up being resolved by the International Cricket Council’s dispute resolution committee.

BCCI should reimburse them and cancel the test altogether.

Quarantine is 14 days if tested positive. This was ending on 14, so, they can't anyway leave before 14. Flights are all pre-booked.

I really don't know what the eff is happening? Shouldn't England players be more worried about contracting virus more than India's as person from Indian camp is found to be positive? Or Indians are worried or stressed that they may find themselves find postive in the middle of the test match? And how this bubble works? Moeen Ali was playing hundred and directly joined the team, Buttler has joined team after his wife's pregnancy, that lunatic Jarvo has entered the field for 3 times. Are not there any quarantine rules? The quarantine during Aussies series seemed very strict.

The guidelines have been changing as the series has progressed. They've relaxed the rules. There is a video in this thread where Boria Majumdar has explained this.

There is no bubble. Otherwise, Butler couldn't have joined the team back.

Youre a special kind of stupid to not appreciate how the IPL has actually damaged world cricket.

Today is an example of that, there is many others.

Like I said your gripe is with the IPL. You don't care about covid or test cricket. All that is a cover. Will keep reminding you of this as long as I am around on ICF.

This Indian team isn't the strongest and Most home teams at home historically lose only when they are not at their strongest. So most wins away from home will have this condition.

Exactly. Even in fab 4 era, we had? Fabulous 4 and then? Crap bowlers. Kumble being rh2 only decent spinner. 32 averaging zaheer who had a good peak. Dhoni a good keeper.

So like 5 or 6 world class players and rest were just numbers. It's the same for most eras.

We beat n.z away when they were ate their weakest. Their bowling had guys like styris and taffey.

Every away win is questionable.

India 2020 beat s very strong Aussie side that is probably their second best team of all time even on paper.

4 pronged attack including Lyon. Smith equal to 3 players. Warner labushagne and Green a future superstar. It's a brilliant team.

Just wait till ATG GOAT kiwi tour again. Phainta is awaiting. Oh wait ? Rhey already received a mighty phanita rofl.

For the uninformed jokers in this thread who still think that there is no such thing as an administrative manager, here's another article:

Oh there is admin manager all right. A rubber stamp position with no power

What is funny that this role is suddenly being highlighted on all social media channels and by paid PR and being scape goated suddenly from nowhere by the same people who are defending captain kohli, the most powerful person in england from india at the moment who obviously takes all final decisons.

The coordinated narrative about a rubber stamp position is whats funny

Can you at least admit that you were wrong about me making it up? Put your ego aside for your own well being rather than indulging in conspiracy theories.

I'm not saying Kohli-Shastri should be absolved of anything. But there are other people who also goofed up. Let's put our agendas aside and accept their culpability.

That's the typical modus operandi of the paid PR jokers. They get themes and statements which they are required to amplify on all SM channels

Manager is one of the most important designation other than players. All communications are done through manager.

Just because some rules are relaxed doesnt mean all rules were relaxed. You are pretending it does but doesnt make it true

He is talking about covid isolation. Not bubble. Butler coming back to the team without quarantining is the proof of their seriousness regarding bubble.

ECB is allowed to cancel the tour midway due to covid fear in SA and leave the country  but if India cancel the test due to all their coaching being in quarantine it is end of the world.

There are kids and families with these players if they get covid  because fifth test was played who will be responsible.

Whole world is dying and if ECB is interested in getting their money and they are wrong for the sport.
