Many western players don't get this attribute and mock South Asians 'sir' culture but this is a distinct South Asian attribute its lovely to look at cultured young people that have simple respect for folks that have achieved it in the past.

Problem isn't westerners not understanding our culture. Most of us don't fully respect/understand their culture either.

The problem is many of our own people having irrational inferiority complex/contempt regarding their native culture, language and skin colour.

the downside to this culture/mentality is seen in the way an entire country's cricketing fraternity has to heap praise on a 27-ball 18 thala and can't call out the emperor with no clothes. cricket is just a microcosm. 27-ball 18 knocks happen every day in the corporate and industry sectors with seniors

I was talking about Western origin cricketers mocking Indian newbies mistaking them being meek for calling them 'sir' while the Indian newbie thinks of it as common decency in his culture. Some Indian people also have inferiority complex, its disgusting. This attribute that I was talking about is not a manifestation of that inferiority complex though.

Here you can see the Desi guy standing up while shaking hands with Obama. It is something we are born with. Not  a bad habit. Comments can reflect that.
