If India bat first, will Rohit and Rahul look to start of aggressive against Imad and shaheeh?

I'm concerned about Afridi's new ball spell than these chuckeez or Shadab. 

Rahul, in particular gives me pause, who is  sitting ducks against a ball that jabs back sharply off length.

Dropping Surya won't help anyone.  Guy is superb against leg spin & will probably take Rauf & Hassan Ali to cleaners.

Can't see Kishan playing.. That would mean KL dropping in at no 4 and that would be a dumb move considering his form. Kishan could have replaced Rohit or Kohli but of course they Captain and VC are never going to be dropped

Not sure about VC - Maybe Ashwin? Other than that I agree, and I would prefer us to chase as well. If we bat first, we wont know what is a good target and with false bravado may end up 30/3 in the Powerplay itself.

Ash doesnt have great record against Pak, VC is an unknown commodity for them..also in v good form

Ashwin wears half sleeves, champu chaman. Aur BUmrah has not been reported even once. Google sling arm action.

Rohit is too good a player for Shaheen , Imad has  some chance if gets lucky . Shadab is over rated and loses control when hit for couple of boundaries. Pak should play Nawaz , the LAS bowler/allrounder and not Shadab but again , being the VC, Shadab will play.

Ashwins action is has clear as it gets, you must be visually impaired you see any fault in his action, both bumrah and ash wear short sleeves unlike Imad, plus with bumrah it is impossible to chuck from his release point which is very high, impossible to chuck from there, he has a hyper extension.

then they will give someone else the opening over. the bowling is chosen after the batsmen come to the crease.

SA did not score too many in PP (went into a shell after losing wkts rather than counter attacking) and it got tougher to bat in the middle overs where they had no momentum from PPs.

of course but powerplay will be better utilized. They can rotate the strike to get right hander face hafeez/malik

What if they don't start with Imad on seeing a leftie open for us.

 

We shouldn't alter our settled opening pair for just one bowler, who might not even be a threat for us. 

 

Rahul and Rohit are both class players and not some hacks. They can deal with Imad I feel. Bigger threat will be Shaheen for us.

Force them to use Imad outside. There is a good chance one of our openers losing their wicket to Imad being unable to rotate strike inside power play.

WI is not in form. Note that it is a two time T20  world champion. The team it played against recently won the ODI WC (scored at +3-4 the RRR).

 

Also doing badly in a tournament is affordable when a team has won multiple tournaments recently - the last two of the 3 T20 WCs. Next T20WC will be in Aus, which will have good batting pitches as well.

It is common knowledge that if pitches get difficult to bat, you make use of PPs.
