The sights should be aimed at the bowlers. How can they not even get one wicket? What is the point of hosting a premier domestic T20 league just a week before the world cup in the same location and then ignore the bowlers that actually performed.

Not to mentio Varun who is inexperienced and not international quality. Bumrah also regressing these days, and chokes in big matches. So basically an innocuous and toothless bowling attack. When did our bowling become so incompetent? Considering our bowling was our strong suit, the last 5 years or so.

nothing was upto mark that bowling, batting, fielding . Bowling had problems even before stepping in the game as their was selection error

Dew and captaincy makes a lot of difference but pacers were definitely subpar. Spinners were expected to struggled but outbowled pacers and did okay given the odds

Right on..  Dew was a factor but no being able to pick even 1 wicket shows bowling was toothless...  Leg side rubbish from pacers...  No channel bowling.  Nothing but either back off length rubbish. 

 

Our bowling in limited overs has been trash for a while now.  Shardul saves us these days with his lucky breaks...  Otherwise it is as toothless as they come.

highest wicket takers in IPL 2021 were in the playing 11.

 

Jadeja was playing as an allrounder.

I think we had discussed this exact issue earlier too.

 

The same pacers who bowl attacking lines and lengths for their IPL teams start bowling defensive lines and lengths under Kohli.

 

Kohli is a very very defensive person despite his false bravado and it keeps biting us on the back as he is the captain.

My hope was India knocking off 2 out of first 3 batsmen and open up the middle order.  Unfortunately they couldn't even beat the batsmen.  Hasad Rauf also maintained a leg stump line.But he was genuinely quick.  Our bowlers barely touched 140k.  They gave us any chance. No zip from our bowlers.

151 was an average score and not a match winning one but enough for team to fight.

 

If any minnow team score those runs, they will come out with a belief in their fielding and plans and at least try for a few overs.

 

The moment Bhuvi trundled in and fed Rizwan a half volley leg stump, that was the end of that.
