Was Kohli "injury" timed to ensure that his 100th test match is in Bangalore and not Cape Town ?

Is it just me or does Kohli pulling a back "injury" on the morning of the 2nd test sound a touch shady ?  100th test in Bangalore ( IPL home ground ) would seem much more desirable than Cape Town.   No professional side would allow this bloody shyte. But it is Indian cricketing "stars" that we are talking about.

Also his back injury annoncement seems to immediately follow selectors saying that they asked him to continue as T20 captain for the "sake" of Indian cricket.

What a filthy mess...

Have to say what must have been repeated many a times on ICF. Kohli is currently a cancer for Indian cricket. Nothing less.

I doubt it. Given how much he has visibly aged the past 2 yrs, it's not surprising if his body is also catching up with his face. From now on, we may see more of the same from him. The current generation of cricketers have sacrificed "longevity", "endurance" and "stability" for modern notions of fitness such as having an athletic body, etc.

Usually Sunny's observations are quirky and outlandish. But his point about overworking in gym is fairly a reasonable point. Sean pollock concurred with that. You cannot go around lifting weights like body builders, movie actors.  Do we see Federer doing that? No. They all focus more on flexibility.

It is reasonable, but it's not anything new.... if TM doesn't know this aspect, i.e., balancing various aspects, they must be misinformed.

So you are assuming something and on basis of that calling someone out?

The quality of ICF is going down day by day due to posts like these.

Were you born stupid to think that Virat is so innocent ? Indian cricket and BCCI are murky - nothing is black and white. This forum is a platform to express opinions and I am expressing mine. If you don’t like an opinion just bloody f off.

Don’t try to influence anybody’s willingness and liberty to express their opinion. You are too petty a thing to be able to do that.

For too long I’ve tolerated your BS. Nobody invited you to this thread, if you don’t like the expressed opinion, then ignore it or move on. POS.

I think he does light weight training.

Quite frankly we may find it too much because it is not still very inherent part of our cricketing culture relatively speaking - SENA cricketers do whag Virat does.

Remember Ganguly faking injury in the morning of the Nagpur test against Aussies to protest against Shashank Manohar preparing a green wicket to favor the Aussies almost in a treasonous fashion ?

Indian captains have a tendency to pull last minute niggles. The Prima Donna culture is still very prevelant - instead of erasing it - Virat has precipitated it even more.

Exactly this moron has set wrong example of getting six pack as fitness. Bloddy no one has dropped more catches than this chutiya . Another 6 pack scammer is Pandya these 2 hit the gym and does weight lifting as if it's modelling and not cricket. Kapil, Sachin, Dravid I dont think they ever did weight lifting in Gym.

6 pack scammer…. Hahahaha. Bhai your humor is gazab

These chutiyas are the equivalent of Bollywood aspirants - who think - body banalo,  dance seekhlo ,martial arts seeklo… phir acting bhale chullu bhar Ki bhi na aaye,

“star” ban sakte hain. Sallu Bhai break dilayenge. Saale gadhe.

Chutiyas  like Hardik, Kohli develop 6 packs not because it helps them play better cricket but because it helps their public image /branding/endorsement/adverts.

I hate the entire brigade of these wannabe metro sexual chakkas, who think 6 packs, tattoos make them “stylish” and desirable.

Disgusting chakkas and KL Rahul is a similar chakka, that’s why he hangs around with Hardik all the time. Filthy things.

Isnt this a win win for people who wanted Kohli out and Kohli himself

It's a win situation for them if he is dropped altogether from the 14 man squad.  Once he is into the 14 man squad,  he is blocking one slot , even if he does not play.

Exactly.  And also they will never miss an IPL match.

They won't. And even in the IPL, they just mooch on others' work. Most of our batsmen have got used to "delegating" the heavy lifting to overseas hitters.
