Iyer was namesake captain. Ponting called the shots. In Tests you have lot of opportunity to come back.

 

Team is just resources which is roughly equal in most teams. Its how you use them that matters

That choking strategy didn't work in the India leg of last IPL though. Needed UAE pitches.

 

Difficult to replicate the same performance on home pitches. Plus Russell's batting seems to be losing the edge. Could be a tough season for KKR

KKR reached because of UAE leg though.They have a decent enough team except WK

Weren't they the last to reach playoffs. Even for that, they needed a newbie winning them all matches he played. High chances Venkatesh will not repeat it. Varun-Narine is good, no doubt. But that's individual performance. Same way as KL winning orange cap means nothing when Punjab doesn't qualify.
