I would advise guys to marry women who have similar interests. If you are into sports, make sure she is atleast interested in staying fit or being athletic. If she has interest in sport then like yourself then it's perfectly compatible.

With my ex's I had the issue of getting them involved in sporting activities, especially Indian women who are generally lazy. White women dig sporty guys so that usually worked well for me in terms of relationships.

With Indian women, there is another serious issue with food. Accommodating vegetarians and restraining yourself from eating meat when your gf is around requires you to compromise.

Indian women aren't lazy. They aren't allowed to do things which are considered "manly".

Profound.

How did you reach this fantastic conclusion?

I knew someone would comment on this. I am not saying all are. Most in general from my experience and my indian friend circle, they tend to be very lazy when it comes to playing sport. When I say sport, I don't just mean some backyard rubbish. I have never seen many Indian woman who actively competes in sports. Maybe a few for community football.

You go to major sporting venues/complexes, you will barely see any Indian woman compete in sport. I am basing this off Australia. I don't know about Indians in India.

Quite evident from your posts.

Women can be exhausting tbh. In saying that, I do love my partner.

Men are lazy. Indian Women do not like sport as much as men because they aren't brought up that way or havent got time. They are brought up as ones to handle family responsibility and keep family together. Indian men sit on couch warming their arses(that includes me) watching tele.

Between me and my wife, there is no debate who is lazy in my eyes despite I am socially very active and play regular team sports and go to gym.

Fair enough. That's a shame. But in Australia they have all the opportunities opportunities play manly sport. They still don't. MOST don't. There are always a few exceptions to the rule. But that's all it is. Outliers.

Absolutely majority of Indian men in India are lazy but from the ones I have seen in Australia, it varies. Many are into sports and gym culture etc. Thanks to Bollywood. Possibly the only real value adding influence they have managed to achieve amongst Indian youth.

I meant lazy when it comes to sport superficially. Not other aspects. Indian women have other great qualities. They are independent mostly. Well educated. They can look after themselves. They do their own laundry and help their partner out if needed. Most know how to cook.

Look at Kalam, Modi, Atalji, Yogiji. The success rate among people without family responsibilities is very high.

In modern day, we can not expect life partner to behave the way it was till Sachin/Shoiabs era. Rightly so. Expectation management in family life is not easy thing. Just like everyone, Kohli struggles a bit on that front.

But i think Shoiab just wanted to say that Kohli wasn’t ready for marriage as it appears that marriage has some impact on his career. Wrong. IMO, Kohli’s selfishness to keep a daylight between his popularity and next Indian cricketers popularity is root cause of Team Indias failures. He cunningly destroyed/ignored every talent.

Absolutely! Kohli is very cunning and always looks out for his own interests. How is it that the team is looking weak and out of sorts when he has stepped down? If he were really a good captain, we should have been on the up, looking to get even better to scale new heights.

You are confusing "interest" with "laziness". Forget humans. Look at other species. Lion, monkeys, apes. Its females who do most task while male just bloody sits at one place with no family responsibity or work.

PS: I blame nature  to justify when I am questioned :icflove:

Why is this joke of a thread even in Cricket Talk? Shouldn't it be in the cesspool that Chit Chat has now degenerated into?

What about your Virat retires thread, you gave me a heart attack with that and then I saw it was for a Ghoda.

Congrats on your marriage ... @G_B_

Family responsibilities & societal pressures in India are different than other parts of the world

Dhoni married 10 months before he won the world cup.

But on a general note agree with what you said. Post marriage all my career highlights happened oy when I was away from my family for months. Not when was with them. No regrets but have to state the facts.

This can't be generalised.

Lol i got married a while back. Not now.

@Mariyam

Its not just me, my wifes work ethic too diminished. It impacts both genders if working, equally. Having a child impacts a woman more than a man in terms of career. This is especially true in India.

The fundamental point of marraige in todays era is to set aside time for your partner. There are so many useless derpika padukone films i sat through cause my wife wanted to see it. She sat through many Star wars events which i am sure she would not have.  In the initial years its a higher % of your time before it normalises out.

I maybe wrong but even sachin had a blip in form post marraige. Then when his marraige settled he found form again.

Professional sports are played at such a high level that a small dip in focus results in big dip in form.

It would be interesting to see players like msd sachin pujara rahane form pre and post a) marraige b) having a child and both. Then look to see if players from other asian and non asian countries suffer the same fate.

Better comparison will be based on  classwise percentage of population whites vs Indians

Maintaining an Indian family involves high amount of investment  in time, emotions and money(in these days).

There IS a reason why the father of bride prefers a boy with stable salaried job than High reward-High Risk professions. There IS a reason why crores of young men apply for very low stress govt jobs even if they are employed.

Shoaib does have a point here.
