Australia have named a full-strength squad for their first overseas Test tour in almost three years, with Ashton Agar the only addition from the extended group of players that won the Ashes.

Mitch Marsh, Josh Inglis and Mitchell Swepson have all been named in an 18-man squad for the historic three-Test tour of Pakistan, Australia's first visit to the cricket-mad nation in nearly 25 years.

Australia Test squad: Pat Cummins (c), Ashton Agar, Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Michael Neser, Steve Smith (vc), Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Swepson, David Warner

Australia have annoucned a full strength squad, will they go to Pakistan? If they do then International Cricket is well and truly back in Pakistan.

I don't understand why Aussies want to travel to Pakistan which isnt very safe yet, just every week  some skirmishes keep happening between the rebels and Army in Pakistan with many soldiers and rebels killed. That's a strong enough excuse to avoid Pakistan so why are the Aussies bothering at all ? Whats their to gain for these Aussie Cricketers by playing in a strict and violent Islamic Country where you would be constantly guarded by AK 47 Carrying bearded commandos ? The players would be feeling as if they are in a warzone and their families worried back home so why bother at all.

Aus will get whitewashed in tests

Depends on the pitches, if there's a hint in it for the seamers Oz will run through Pak in all 3 tests! Back in 2004 we did the same with swing, heck if over smart Dravid didn't chose to bat in the second test we'd have won 3-nil :whack2:

Okay now I'm definitely doubtful about this tour going ahead lol.

Either a lot of players will opt out in the coming weeks or CA will craft a masterclass of an excuse not to tour.

Even a full strength Aus team could not beat Toygers in their den in 2017.    So, 3-0 win for Poyz looks likely even if Aus select their best playing 11.   But the question is : Will they really travel ?   Or pull out at the last moment ?  Interesting times ahead.

how is it any of our concern ? i think it would be an interesting series given how ashes went and pak will prepare spin friendly wickets.

They will come for sure but I highly suspect a full tour will go ahead.   Balochistan right now is nothing less than a war zone with dozens of Pak Army men already dead.

Let's see though.

1st test at Pindi will be critical as pitch has a history of assisting pacers but won't be surprised if Pak rolls out a dusbowl.

How many matches have been scheduled on the border with Iran, where all these incidents are taking place?

If we are so concerned about a few incidents in an isolated province that has a sponsored separatist movement, then given what has prevailed in Kashmir or the protests/movements for one thing or another, India shouldn't be hosting any cricket.

The OP's racist inclination to paint a certain picture, by calling us a "strict and violent 'Islamic' country" will make no difference. Pakistan is as safe as any other country in the world.

Those who dont live over here and rely on a propagandist media that peddles misinformation shouldn't be commenting on our matters.

Good news for Pakistan fans, hope they pull off the tour. I like forward to see watch the Aus team play in Pakistan. They are definitely not the best side in the world as the rankings suggest but if they win here they will justify the rankings.

There will always be something for pacers in Pakistan, especially in Rawalpindi.

Pakistanis are giving a warm welcome to Australia considering that the first match is there.

Great news for cricket fan.

Pakistan has developed into a good team in the last one year, especially in lois, they now need to show the same zeal in test cricket.

Pakistani pitches are different when compared to Indian pitches, there is always some help for pacers and rank turners are rare.

The series will be exciting, Pakistani fans who are expecting their team to whitewash Aus(lol) are in for a reality check.

Hoping to see Shoaib Akhtar (GOAT) in the crowd in Rawalpindi. :adore:
