S Iyer is a joke in T20.  Does not hv the ability to accelerate at all, despite being set.  Hope he does not make it to playing 11.  Also, Not sure what has Samson done to get into the squad.   Only possible explanation could be that Pant and KL are not there.  So, we need one more WK.

I'd definitely take Samson. 

Which Iyer? If it is Shreyas, I agree but Venky should be there. Anyways,this dilemma would not be there as Kishan would be dropped. Shaw might come into picture.

Yeah I was talking about Shreyas. 

As for Venky, he might be a part of the squad but Pandya will be preferred.

Kishan is a wk. You would pick Shaw instead of kishan and go without wk? Shaw will get chance only when Rohit doesn't play. Ruturaj might open and kishan at 3-4.

How does it matter. In t20 80 perc times u get flat pitches. What we need is a batsman who has high strike Rate and cam hit from word go. All 22 players had a chance to bat on this pitch but check who scored the fastest. We are looking at srk as a t20 option and if the guy can hit 194 with a sr of 140 plus that’s amazing in a fc match.

it reminded me a little of yusuf's domestic ATG performance when he and others chased a huge total in 4th innings; obviously, yusuf's knock came in more difficult circumstances

KL has not returned to t20 side yet. So, kishan will continue to open.  He is one heck of a lucky guy.   Hope he scores at higher SR this time. And not his usual Hahane type of score (35 off 40 balls) that he did in all 3 matches against Windies.
