I think so. Shreyas has put such a consistent performances that he will not be out of playing XI when the full squad is back.

I would think there will be pressure on Virat Kohli, the greatest T20I batsman for India to keep his number 3 position.

But it is still early days. We need to wait until few more series against strong team to say that Shreyas can be as good or better than Virat Kohli.

All the best Shreyas. I reckon you are higher up the pecking order over KL Rahul now.

Can't just go by the SL series in IND. Have to see IPL and then many series to follow including versus SA & Aus in India, tours to Eng & WI, and Asia Cup in SL.

If we have to go by the SL series, replace KL with Samson, Bumrah with Avesh, Pant or whoever with Hooda, and so on.

There’s not much competition. Top 2 t20 batsmen have been yuvi and Kohli. Raina is also a top 5 player. As well as KL Rahul.  Rohit sharma is up there as well.

Good T20I batsman but suited to certain batting positions only. Not as versatile and explosive as Pant and SKY who can bat at any position all the way till no.6 also. Iyer is best at 3 and 4 only.

Two Jokes in one thread, Virat Kohli greatest T20 International Batsman :cantstop: (for India). On top of that Shreyas Iyer to become the next greatest T20 International batsman for India, That too on the basis performance against the club level attack of Srilankans.

This is Padosi Level delusion. Phookte Raho!!

I don't think that is even debatable. If you include longevity and consistency, Kohli is miles better than anyone else.

Kohli's accomplishment as a T20I batsman is next to none for team India.

Yes, the jury is out for Shreyas but what he did here is commendable. We have to wait and see how he fares elsewhere.

Under new management he seems to have changed his approach and is batting more freely in T20. Of course, it helps when the opposition is weak but at-least he didn't waste his opportunity.

Lol at Kohli being just the best Indian t20 batsman.

He is the GOAT t20 batsman ever.

Two man of the tournaments. Aveg 52 str rate 138, a finisher + accumulator.

Clutch performance in knockouts. What else do you want?

Yes. He was unfortunate to win in 2014 or 2016. Especially 2014. Matherchoth yuvraj seniority quota cunt cost us the title with his slow coach batting.

In 2016 it was dudane.

Really? yuvi has done so much for india especially when he was going through tough time. I know you are disappointed with him but that's not way to speak about legend. Also in that match even kohli & dhoni struggled in death overs to hit malinga & kulasekara
