We messed up the first and last match. We should have won both. In both we were 120

odd to win with 7 wickets in hand. The last match we had chahal who could not even take singles. It was failure of batsmen full stop.

Absolutely nothing new about that - BD FC cricket has always, always centered around ODI Cricket - and it has been their best format, especially away from home for years.   

 

You need a much more complete XI to be effective in test cricket, especially having quality pace bowling depth, which they still lack in test cricket.  And in T20, it was the glaring lack of hitting ability that held them back.  Neither are "impossible" problems to solve,  just need time, money and human resources to address.

The team was mentally shot after losing a very hard fought test series. They all looked frustrated. Kohli even quit captaincy unceremoniously. That ought to take a toll on performance. 

 

Anyways it was just a little bilateral ODI series. No one cares in the long run.

Bang have generally lacked good pacers and lower order hitters/finishers. They have solved the former and are getting there with the latter. They have also had a habit of choking and getting too excited with the finishing line in sight, it takes practise to overcome that.

Afif,  Mahmudullah are decent finishers I reckon.  This Afif is 360 degree type player.  His play is a lot similar to our Raina.  Of course he is young right now but has started off with a lot of promise. 

In SC conditions they will be a bigger threat to SENA teams in WC 2023.
