How long is the rope for Hanuma Vihari?

He hasn't had much success in International cricket and doesn't appear to look the part. Shouldn't we just move on to other domestic performers like Sarfaraz already?

16 tests is a good enough rope and it is irrational to expect 16 tests on a trot with so much competition. Onus lies on him to cash in and since he has not done much, time to go to the next in line.

 

i like the story, the grit of Vihari but doesn’t belong at this level unfortunately.

The Home Tests against Lanka batting at 3 were the perfect platform for him, but he couldn't score then also. That should have been a clear indicator to move past him.

 

Sarfaraz should be top of the list to replace him.

With so much of talent waiting in the wings, it will be a grave injustice to someone like Sarfaraz if we see Vihari in the Whites again representing India.

Based on the weight of domestic runs season after season, I guess he deserved a look-in.  Like Badri many years ago.  16 matches in, it is clear that it's not working.

Would give him one more series after this personally but if the selectors drop him, i would not say it is unfair.

I seriously want Sundar to play more ranji trophy batting at 3-4 for TN. I want him at 3 for India, Gill at 4, Sarfaraz 5, Pant 6 and two decent openers.

Sabse pehle ye Gujara ko latiya k nikalo.....bc selectors ko chutiya bananey k liey county b-grade team k against century bana ke achha chuna lagaya isney. Gujara , Vihari kind of players are not good at all.Sarfraz can take Vihari's place Gill can Take Gujara place.
