Gill may continue to open.  They will probably push Rahul to 3 at Shreyas spot.  However reverse may also apply.  Rahul usually bats at 5 in ODIs though.  Let's see either way a good move to give him game time before Asia Cup.

Rahul will open with Dhawan and Gill will move to 3 now. This also confirms Samson at 4 and Hooda at 5. Sundar at 6 and a tossup between Chahar and Thakur at 7. That would be the team although they can also use Kishan at 6 if they want and let Hooda and Chahar/Shardul do the fifth and sixth bowler quota.

That won't happen probably, KL knows middle order competition is very high. SKY, Hooda, Pant, Samson, Iyer all are fighting for 4&5 (6 is locked by Pandya). While as Dhawan is on last legs there is an upcoming window in opening slot.
