Why is Umesh Yadav not in any scheme of things?

He can be useful at the start with sheer pace in these dry conditions. He is not even playing A games. So expect him to directly fit for test cricket?

He had a decent season. But he is somewhat a predictable bowler.  Okay with new ball. You might as well back Shami.  Both can bat though somewhat which is a plus.

my question is why isn’t he even playing A team games? He will be directly selected for test squad? He could have been in the backups at least for Bhuvi because the backups are worse.

Only did well in wankhade 

Post power play he is terrible in all phases.

His team doesnt even give him overs after PP and 1 reh bhi jata they try to make it up in some easy situation.

Umesh is playing for Middlesex in county cricket. He has had his chances in t20 and performed poorly. Let him play only tests and IPL. Lot of younger bowlers to pick from for T20's.

Umesh don't have "sheer pace" anymore.
He is ageing now a 136-142 bowler who can hit 144-145 as his peak, tbh we should now look for his replacement as he hinted in the past that he will retire soon.
