zen Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 (edited) I usually comment on players based on long term viability (and the big picture). In the short term, everyone will have a bad game and a good game here and there. It is not like in one game, a player is a hero, and in the next zero. This is not a stock market where the price of a player changes daily. Even Aus bowlers went for runs. In a game, certain players will do well, certain will do badly. If the long term viability (in relation to other options) is good, it should be ok. If fans comment as if bowlers should be bowling maidens/picking wkts, and batsmen hitting boundaries every ball in every situation (while the opponent does the opposite), the discussions become pointless (and immature). Issue with Harshal and such trundlers is long term viability (esp. in various types of conditions). If Umran (or Moshin or even the now experienced but with some more years to come in his bank Bumrah), whose potential as an X factor is known, goes for runs in the short term it is ok as the long term viability is (or expected to be) good. vvvslaxman Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 He is making sure we don't miss Avesh Khan
vvvslaxman Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 He is crap. But i won't judge him based on T20. Lot of past bowlers were lucky that they didn't play T20. Look at Cummins. Great test bowler. Got his ass kicked.

Shared a stage about 5 years with Harshal at SVGP school Ahmedabad . He was a million miles away from playing for India and he never thought he ever would play for India . Very nice guy though AuxiliA, Need4Speed, BacktoCricaddict and 1 other 4
Sandz Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 He is in the team because he performed well in the Dubai IPL, that is the door to team India now unfortunately, nothing else matters esp in T20.
vvvslaxman Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 Worst Indian bowlers in terms of economy across formats. Minimum 50 overs. Top two are part of the current set up raki05, Sean Bradley and Lone Wolf 2 1

Few come to mind like Joginder Sharma, Thiru Kumaran etc, but none were as bad as this Gentleman. Jogi bhai still would get away with his heroics in 2007, but there seems to be no redemption for H Patel. 7 hours ago, Sean Bradley said: Yeh but he wasn't given a long rope and a ticket to World Cup in Australia like this Fraudster. Top two are part of the current set up This sums up my opening post, the worst in terms economy rate, add to that there is no real wicket taking ability. I have never seen him take a wicket with a jaffer or caught behind at slips/WK etc. All he does is gets batsman out caught in the deep while they are trying to clobber for him for six. God knows what these batsman are gonna do to him in Australia
SandeepMotta Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 Harsha did well in UAE where the wickets were over used and same with the second half of IPL last year. Unfortunately our selectors are dumb moron who want to validate their careers by picking trundlers and Harsha is a dream pick for them. Expect him and his short slower balls to be smashed out of the park in Australia.
Stan AF Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) Bhuvi to harshal after getting walloped by wade. Edited September 24, 2022 by Stan AF

Those who mostly play T20s are obviously f***ed. Lord and zen 1 1

I am sure Rohit and Kohli must be hitting these trundlers in the nets too. If not then we have another problem. But can't they realise that this is not going to work. raki05 1
