Just like they have awards for "regular season" championships in other sports like American college hoops etc., they should crown India the champion of the league stage of the tournament.  There's got to be an award for that - otherwise all the hard work that went into being the only team with 8 points is for nought.  Same thing with WTC.  Last time, we slogged for 3 years, amassed the most points and just got a bit unlucky against NZ, and what do people remember?  We lost to NZ, that's it.  So unfair. 

 

I am going to email ICC and let them know, and cc s/o Amit Shah on it.

Yes & no, I generally prefer tournaments with at least a QF, so three KO's - as that allows the more consistent teams to win but in this instance Pak have proven they're right now much better than India!

That's a lot different, WTC final is a joke if it's not held on a truly neutral territory because conditions matter so much more in cricket especially over 5 days! FFS NZ didn't even bother with a spinner, would've loved to face them in SL, BD or UAE

It's unfair to say that India hv won WC1983, WC2011, T20WC 2007 and CT2013.   As these wins were all based on a single KO game.
