putrevus Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 It should be end of the road for them. They did have enough chances, sad thing is they never got much help from anyone else.
Popular Post neel roy Posted January 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 6, 2023 Paanch match flop honge youngsters.. twitter main halla.. vikrant ka chillana.. media ka tamasha.. ANI News 10 May 2024 The team for wt20 2024 to be held in West Indies has been announced today. Leading the team will be Captain Rohit Sharma and his deputy the flamboyant KL Rahul who just came off from a stellar IPL season scoring 545 runs at strike rate of 127 but where his team lost in the playoffs. Giving them company would be Virat Kohli which might be his last chance to put on an ICC trophy after 11 years. Other members of the team are Hardik Pandya, Surya Kumar Yadav and Deepak Hooda. Unfortunately Jaspreet Bumrah andn Sanju Samson couldnt recover from their respective back and finger injuries. Rishabh Pant is still out of selectors thinking though he showed glimpses of his vintage self in the recently concluded Tata IPL. Other key players injured are Ravindra Jadeja who injured himself while playing ice hockey just before the start of IPL. Veteran bowler R Ashwin will lead the spin heavy bowling attack with Yuzi Chahal on whom selectors still have their faith. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi will be gutted to miss out. The fast bowling will be helmed by Mohammed Shami along with Harshal Patel and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar who came back to the reckoning with some tight bowling in the recently concluded IPL where his team SRH narrowly missed the playoffs. The selectors went for experience and thats one of the reason tear away pace bowler Umran Malik missed out along with hopefuls Mohsin Khan and Prasidh Krishna.. The surprise pick though for this team has been Shikhar Dhawan as the reserve opener in place of Ishan Kishan who went through a lean patch in last three matches of IPL. Dhawan incidentally played the role of sheet anchor to perfection and won the crucial encounter against CSK by scoring 43 of 39 balls. That innings seemed to have booked his ticket for West Indies… ICF Fans Forum 1. Did Dhawan deserve his place……. HOT 224 Replies 2. Why is Injury Management in BCCI so poor..HOT 129 replies 3. express bowling Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) Need a new look team in ODI WC 2023 too. They are trying to convey that the existing players are not good enough for 2024 LOIs but want to promote the same team in 2023 ODIs. Hypocrisy ! putrevus Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Existing players like Rohit and Kohli are a must for 2023 world cup as they are still the best white ball batsmen in the country by a country mile. After world cup it is all upto them if they want to continue or not. They would have won few world cups by now if they had any help in last decade, they were never the problem for India. They are reason why India was reaching semis and knockouts atleast. cricspirit and AuxiliA 2
zen Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) Hopefully, Ind can develop a good core in the coming few months. Good to see a lot of talented players like Gill, Tripathi, & Mavi make their debut in the series v SL. Players like Moshin, Tyagi, Sen, Tewatia, etc. would be in line for a debut as well esp. if they have another good IPL season. The squad would be further strengthened by players like Bumrah, Siraj, Bishnoi, Kukdeep, etc. Edited January 6, 2023 by zen express bowling 1
cricketfan28 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 It will be unfair to expect great things from this young team, a place in the semifinal should be the target, anything more than that is bonus.
Majestic Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Rohit has been a mediocre player in T20 World Cup. Kohli has been great. Ofcourse when you backed Rahane, Dhawan, Pandey, Jadeja and Dhoni for years then can't expect one player to win you a T20 World tournament. Tibarn, Lord and Vijy 3

While I 100% agree, we can unfortunately only expect BCCI and TM to deal with one stupid retarded issue in Indian Cricket at a time. Hitman is now Fatman, old and the best is well and truly behind him. Similarly with Kohli as well. My main concern is Fatman being injured during the WC and the impact that will have on the team and preparation, ie not giving enough time for the new captain to handle the team. Many may disagree but having players like Sundar, Axar and SKY in the ODI WC team would make us infinitely more stronger compared to Fatman, Kohli and KL. You then add the likes of Gill, Kishan and Iyer and we begin to have a very good team capable of winning the WC. Sundar and Axar gives us the duality luxury of being able to bat and bowl crucial overs of spin. Not only this it lengthens the batting lineup crucially. If we can bat till 9, with say to pace bowlers like Umran and Bumrah, it makes us more formidable. express bowling 1

You are contradicting yourself in your own post. If they were good enough and the issue was with others then they shouldn't be dropped and should not be end of road. Rohit is classic case of playing only because of stardom. Had played 7 wt20s, apart from 3-4 innings he has not anything to his name in Wt20 , he was actually match loser in Wt20 for us in many occasions. express bowling 1
putrevus Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 What miracles are public expecting if the captain what has done nothing noteworthy in India winning any ICC match.Rohit might not have lit up t20 world cup but he did perform in other ICC tournaments and won MOMs there. What exactly has Pandya done in any ICC tournament. But he is somehow an asset and now captain. Hypocrisy at its best.

They are not getting dropped, they have become old and it is time to move on. Rohit atleast performed in 50 overs cups and he was captain as many people here wanted him to become. That is why he was playing there. Kohli should have never let go as a captain in the first place. What exactly has Pandya done since 2016? Why is he getting a pass?

What exactly has Pandya done since 2016? Why is he getting a pass? Pandya is an integral part of ODI squad. Pandya has definitely improved as T20 player. The last one year's performances are proof of that. And good thing with Pandya is he will be dropped soon if he doesn't yield results unlike superstars who went on to play on reputation. India don't have any other option than Pandya now. KLR is hopeless case. Pandya will be dropped from captaincy and team altogether if doesn't fulfill his role as AR. He won't go Scot free unlike Dhongi,Kohli and Rohit just because of they were stars. Kohli was pathetic LOI captain. LOI team had gone to dogs under him. Bringing back Yuvraj after 3 years gap in ODIs, 2017 ct loss, Raydu fiasco in 2019 wc, sucking upto Dhoni when he didn't warrant even place after 2017, no planning whatsoever. His mentality was pathetic. He was rightly dropped as captain. Vijy, rollingstoned, Chakdephatte and 1 other 4
