And has better bowling brains than regular bowlers in the side, for eg all phase bowlers boobie, chahar, and trundal patel

Yeah, I have not seen a player with such combination of talent and potential (batting, fast bowling, captaincy, etc) play for India esp. in the 21st century!

Another quality I like about pandya is that he is a fighter. All he needs to do now is to focus on trying to get 10 overs consistently in odi. His batting will be fine in India. I am not worried about his batting.

Yusuf Pathan was a gem.

India doesn't produce fast bowling allrounders, that's why the likes of Pandya get overrated.

For example Jimmy Neesham has better stats and performances than Pandya in lois, still he is so underrated and not even a permanent member of the team, while Pandya is next candidate for captain.

Yes that's correct. All our good all rounders and bowlers are of Muslim origin.

Shami

Siraj

Zaheer khan

Yusuf pathan

Irfan pathan

Etc

In India we lack the mentality, physical ability and power to be proper fast bowlers and fast bowling all rounders. Somehow our malnourished athletes just do well against these big strong goras and Muslims in Olympics though even in combat sports. I think it's because we are very religious. Our belief in hindhuism helps us mentally perform despite lacking physical ability.

It doesn't translate in cricket.

laughable thread - no wonder the sh!tshow Indian cricket is. fans more worried about milestones

Pandya is no Stokes or Butler, but Stokes and Butler bats at no.4/5 whilst Pandya comes in at 6/7 even then 99% comes after 40th over, because the the first 40 overs the marathas are busy stats padding.

even in today's ODI match it's 45 overs completed and Sky and Sundar still in the dugout, then idiots expecting 100s from Indian no. 6 and 7.

This guy is not fit to tie shoe laces of either Butler or Stokes. He is at best Mehdy Miraj, who I think is far better overall cricketer than this guy.

He had all the chances in world to do well in 2019 with bat and ball . And in last two t20s where he laid a giant egg.

He is old news and Sundar would be better option than him in next world cup.

He is there because of his attitude.  One thing I really like about him.  A attitude of king.  However his batting ability is questionable but his bowling is great addition.

more than hundreds and averages, at that position you need someone who can win from tough situation and turn the match

Pandya has done it in T20s but lacking in ODIs

Where did he do in T20s?

Unfortunately, ICF has turned into “imbecile cricket fans”. Many of these guys have only basic idea about sports.

Ok how many t20 series did Rohit help India win.

how many more years Pandya need to prove himself in Odis.

Question I have for Pandya , how is Rohit playing in even t20s outdated thinking and Pandya playing is new age thinking.

Some idiots don’t understand if Pandya bats  after 40 over in 7 out of ten matches then his bowling contribution is very important for him to remain the team.

Nobody is expecting Pandya to score 100s if he bats after 40the over but if he comes in early does he have capability of scoring a 100

Pandya himself has answered these morons by remaining a bits and pieces player. In his 7 plus years international cricket and still he is neither bowler nor batsman.

I understand your logic but no need to make up nonsense stats when u can easily look them up. Pandya came to bat in first 35 overs in 26 out of 50 innings he played in ODIs so far.

If he's really the destructive lower order batsman he's supposed to be, he would have scored a 100 out of those 26 innings. For comparison, bracewell came out to bat in first 35 overs in only 10 innings and he already scored 2 centuries, both away from home
