The worst batsman to win the award in the history of the game. This guy is a world class stats padder. He made mince out of playing minnows and B&C bowling attacks, went missing in all major ICC tournaments of the year. Went missing in the Home Test series out of all. He has only 2 gears, he cannot accelerate like ABD, Jason Roy, Rohit Sharma etc. Can never win you games in the situation a 80 needed of 30 balls (against world class bowling attacks). He is the KL Rahul of Pakistan. Instead of celebrating this award, you guys should hide your face in shame. All his runs are typical stat padding exercises against third tier bowling attacks or on absolute halwa wickets where the likes of zak crawley look like Bradman. He is a very good player but overrated, he is better version of Rahane to me. The roads they laid for the home season were despicable. Any batsman worth his salt would make merry on those picthes. Fluked into final on the back of Roleof vander merwe and lost again. Winning nothing at home. Over all a pis* poor year. Something to cheer for although it is not entirely a deserved one. All he has to do is set it up for the dangerous Pak MO. Pak's top order itself has Anwar and anyone at 3 (Azam or Abbas or MoYo or YK, or ...) would be good too. Moin had 80+ in 90s. Rizwan was averaging in high 20s despite being a MO batsman. Moin was good hitter in lower order. Link to comment
