BacktoCricaddict
So, I expressed my feelings to ChatGPT and asked it to write a poem about it. Me: Write a short poem about trying really hard to get interested in the Indian Premier League cricket tournament, but not able to do so because, year after year, new players emerge but don't get a chance at playing in the Indian team ChatGPT (after a couple of iterations): I try and try to get enthralled By IPL's cricket, fast and bold But each year, my interest stalls As new players' stories go untold Their talent shines on IPL's stage But when it comes to the Indian team They're left out, confined to a cage Their hopes and dreams, shattered, it seems So while the tournament's excitement grows And fans cheer on their favorite team My heart can't help but feel for those Whose chance to shine remains a dream Lord and Mariyam 1

kosingh
I enjoyed IPL during lockdown. The seasons before and after my interest levels were lower.
Vickydev
Probably to follow the younger players. IMO IPL was probably at its best between 2018-21. With the new teams it'll be a while before we get the quality up there Stan AF

Also forgot to mention about other captains - Boobi, Duplesis, Nitish Rana, Dhawan A tournament where Washed up oldies and incompetent youngsters are captaining will be celebrated and people will watch this trash for 2 months

Per chance, is it a Van Gogh painting of his doctor/shrink which he created a few months before his tragic demise? I recently attended a Van Gogh 360 in Mumbai and found it enthralling. I did not go to the Van Gogh museum when in Amsterdam and feel foolish about it now.

vvvslaxman
Looking at the traffic for IPL matches seems like a lot of fans are like you. Not being able get into the circus. Seeing guys like Dhoni, PIyush chawla still playing i don't blame you.
The Realist
Who can be bothered to watch old farts still clinging on for a last pay cheque and a sad parade of serial failures at international tournaments stinking it out. Its become toxic. There is too much good football on instead, just this weekend some great games and goals with Bayern, Real, City and Milan. wanted_desi
There isn't great talent coming into ranks in India, let alone generational talent. Next few years will be hard for Indian cricket; It would same as NBA when Jordan left and it was Lebron, who saved NBA and became the face of it. They are still looking for his replacement as he is coming to end of his career. I had few days off and I couldn't even stand to watch IPL for 10 mins or so.
