Babar seems like a good guy and down to earth. So far he has stayed away from controversies and foolish statements. He is probably their best technically adept batsman in a while and extremely consistent: he is no where even close to 2 levels below Kohli but still a very good player. Decent fielder and for Pak standards seems fit.

 

No wonder most Pakistanis don’t like him.0

Down to earth guys like Babar, Misbah are always an outlier for their society.

We don't even have any other option for captaincy. Maybe Imad Wasim? But he will be 38 by next world cup.
