Virat Kohli withdraws from first two tests against England citing personal reason

Recommended Posts

India star Virat Kohli has withdrawn from the first two Test matches against England for personal reasons, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced.

The BCCI confirmed a replacement will be called up to the squad to replace India's talisman.

'Virat has spoken to Captain Rohit Sharma, the team management and the selectors and has emphasized that while representing the country has always been his top priority, certain personal situations demand his presence and undivided attention,' a BBCI statement read.

'The BCCI respects his decision and the Board and team management has extended its support to the star batter and is confident in the abilities of the remaining squad members to step up and deliver commendable performances in the Test series.

'The BCCI requests the media and fans to respect Virat Kohli's privacy during this time and refrain from speculating on the nature of his personal reasons.

It was big opportunity to score some runs cause England has least potent spinners compare to Nz and Bangla

Even Eng quicks are halwa. They have brought 41 year old Anderson who will fire in 115 kph thunderbolts. Joke of a bowling attack, worse than 2016 aur us series mein kya pela tha humne.

How come these players do not have any personal commitment during IPL ??

Never heard of anyone taking a break from IPL due to personal issues.

IPL teams are more brutal & professional than BCCI. They won't take long to dispose off the non performing assets.
