Number
Last time an Indian batsman or WK-Batsman who played 10 innings in Subcontinent and didn't score a single 50 was Kiran More in late 80s. This is the travesty this <think the worst abuse you can think of> Rohit-Draaafid combo has put us under. While there are 100s of loathsome decisions they have made, this one is in the league of itself. Edited February 2, 2024 by Number tweaker, Vijy, Lone Wolf and 6 others 2 1 5 1 Link to comment

This guy is the biggest dud with the bat in last 3 decades. Already 30+ so not even a chance he will come good. But then his only purpose is to keep the backdoor open for Kela when he fails as a batsman. Chaos, Kothili, nitinbwj and 3 others 1 1 3 1 Link to comment
Frustrated
Batter with a very low ceiling. His keeping skills are not exceptionally good either. If he fails in 2nd inning, should be dropped. D Juerel is waiting. Edited February 2, 2024 by Frustrated SandeepMotta, Gollum and raki05 3 Link to comment

Pant is injured & Kishan is a moron..this was the time to give chances to likes of Upendra Yadav, Dinesh Bana or Kumar Kushagra (Jurel is already on bench). express bowling and Number 2 Link to comment
Majestic
Indian test team is suffering pretty bad due to absence of Pant. Hope he plays a few games before the Australia tour later this year. Link to comment

Trichromatic
Below average batsmen are given chances for their great keeping skills. Is Bharat any good in either skill? Link to comment

Add to that Akshay Wadkar, Vidharba captain suppoed to be consistently good keeper and batted well in crises for years 50 plus average in FC. He wasn't even in Kiran More camp last year which is surprising. Should be the A team keeper tweaker and singhvivek141 2 Link to comment

Frustrated
He auto qualified for selection since his city (Vizag) is the host. (Like it happens in sports that host nation auto qualifies) Throwaib_Chuckter 1 Link to comment
Throwaib_Chuckter
Comparing Ben Foakes' catch to dismiss Iyer to Bharat's drop against grandpa Anderson; the stark reality stares us in the face. A pommie keeper who hasn't kept on such wickets to spin bowlers executes better than an Indian keeper who literally learnt to walk on these wickets and is found lacking. Saha as a pure test wicket-keeper is one of the best ever that I have seen. And a consummate team-guy. When Pant went down, they should've brought him back into the 15-member squad at least as a mentor for these other guys. Unfortunately, selectors' and fans' judgement is clouded by IPL batting performances etc. Even on this board, the guy was ridiculed to no end. As much as we want to be excited about Jurel and the other Yadav guy and a bunch of others, there's just not enough evidence that they are ready. Pant's accident has set this team back by a lot more than we will ever know. Edited February 3, 2024 by BacktoCricaddict Vijy, Sandz and sorak 3 Link to comment

Lone Wolf
There was a offensive thread on Shivam Dube like India cap comes cheap for them & Dube type players devalue it... When dude had only few T20Is to his name... That thread should actually be made for this midget Bharath & also his cheerleader Bhogle who has become blind coz of his regional bias. putrevus
I saw his WK keeping skills today, they were not that great either. He was missing simple takes. The pitch was not even turning but he was missing simple takes. He stands too far for fast bowlers on this slow wicket. Link to comment
