U suggest you peek at the scoreboard you know.

:mi: and Mumbai in general is a net exporter of talent. We buy developed talent.

Can we really expect MI to win with this bowling lineup?

Letting go of someone like Ayush Mhatre is definitely not a good look. He's a Mumbai player and when even someone like CSK can pick a youngster shows MI scouting is not having a great time. Most of the teams have unearthed and backed talents such as Arya, Suryavanshi, Raghuvanshi, Ayush Mahatre and MI don't have anyone close to these youngsters.

But when MI and Ambanis can buy any player from any team the way they did with Pandya from GT, they don't need to find and nurture youngsters. They'll simply arm-twist other franchises to land any player when they've become stars.

But as mumbai are finding after they bought Pandya the captain or real Madrid with Mbappe, just buying a great player doesn't mean he will gel well with the team. A youngster is more likely to gel well and grow with the team than a ready made superstar.

Mumbai won their first trophy in 2013, by sticking to same core group and grooming youngsters like Rohit. Buying successful players from other franchises won't help them.

Pandya has always been with MI since his IPL debut. He helped them win IPL in his debut year. He is not an outsider. Even SKY played for KKR before. Pandya became successful by playing for Mumbai. It was actually GT who bought him from Mumbai.

Yes but the way they brought pandya back as captain over sky and bumrah didn't go well for the team. Mumbai never made pandya captain and they wanted him to Mumbai only after he did well as a captain for Gujrat.

They messed up by handing the captaincy to Pandya. They could've brought him back and given the captaincy to Rohit, SKY or Bumrah. Bringing in Pandya and then handing the captaincy to him over others destroyed team chemistry and I'm sure created groupism within the team.

It's so weird to see that Pandya plays under Rohit (ODIs) and SKY (T20Is) but he captains both of them in IPL. Ambanis destroyed the team chemistry and potentially risk bringing in this division to the Indian team as well.

When you add Bumrah to any bowling lineup, it becomes good. Plus the depth and flexibility Pandya brings to the table. MI have under-achieved significantly. When you look at the players they have - Rohit, SKY, Tilak, Bumrah, Pandya, Boult, Jacks - nobody should even come close. The only area they're not as strong is in the spin department but other than that they're a very solid team.

Except for Bumrah.. their bowling isn't strong. They will bully n stream roll the weak n meek guys but I don't think they can go all the way with this bowling unit.

We have played a game more than #4 and #5 teams, but for now we are #3.

Highest we have been all season. Or even last season.

And we have the highest NRR.

Highest since 2021

Since last year srh scored 277 and made us lose by 31 runs, they have lost the next 3 matches to us in IPL..All sub par scores btw.

I've always maintained that good bowling sides can take care of them easily. Even yesterday we gave them unnecessary runs.
