WT20 2024 Bhavishyavani: Ravindra Jadeja will cost us yet another WT20

Batsmen, bowlers, captain, coach everyone will get blamed and “experts” like Sunny G, Madan Lal etc will continue to say Jadeja is an amazing T20 player.

 

By the way probably easiest prediction I made. Only thing that can save Indian team is a repeat of my Matthew Wade Thread :)

Pandya and Jadeja at 6 and 7 is a disaster. Its very obvious but can selectors be brave enough ??

 

Why can't they just have 7 batsman ( based on form ) and ask couple of batsman to roll their arm for 4 over quota. Abishekh, Parag and Dube can easily cover 4 overs.

 

I will take 7 batsman + 4 bowler...there is no need of fake allrounders like Jadeja, Axar or Pandya. 

 

At best , Jadeja can play as pure bowler and as No.8 batsman. No problem in that.

This is not a prediction. This is a statement of fact. This is like saying "Sun will rise from the east tomorrow" or "rain will be wet". Every knowledgeable person and their dog knows Jadeja is shyte and can't hit to save his life - except for selectors and team management.

Actually just dropping Jadeja will not mean anything at all. you will barely notice a change. At least Jadeja is reasonable/good with the ball and in the field. His batting only helpful for low scoring games. India will lose with or without Jadeja. He has never been the cause for losing us the world cup. even last time he was not the cause of failure. his problem is more that he can not help win. Neutral is his rating in my view.

 

However the pack together with Exxxxperience where the problem lies. When you combine Rohit/Virat at top, KLR in middle and Jadeja and Pandya as supposed allrounders and some random bowlers without match impact ability. The total package is the problem.

 

Reform has to be at least 75% for us to have a chance. This includes top order, middle order and bowling.  I get it why Jadeja gets the blame and hate but he is not the reason for our failures. At least not alone. He just does not have batting power for his role but still gets in thanks to rest of the team not wanting to bat or bowl. 

 

T20 has moved on but our selectors and think tank has not. Starts with selecting a captain who should not be in the team and then involving the said captain in decision making. Be it Rohit or Virat. Don't even want to think about Pandu.

 

 

Jadeja was not even in the 2022 T20 WC. lol. I was wondering what he did there.

We have too many match loosers in this line up. When they collectively fail , they will be a force to reckon with. They quiet often do that collectively. World cup semi final/final 0 wickets. Nothing of note with bat. Here we are. We are going to play him in enven more unsuitable format.

Do you have anyone better? What wonderful things did Axar do when Jadeja was not the squad for last 20 World Cup.

Axar is clone of Jadeja. Jadeja slightly better bowler that's it. They both can't hit big, nor do they respond well to pressure, 2 qualities you look for in a no. 7-8 batsman.

Indian cricket needs to move forward from both try someone else like Tewatia.

Tewatia does not bowl , nobody stopped Tewatia from bowling, how many overs has he bowled in this IPL,

 

Why blame Jadeja if you can’t find anyone better? Pandya is also in the same boat , he  becomes a necessity as Indian has no one matching his skill set.

Historically:

Tuk Tuk Kohli will cost us few games.

Jadeja will not be used in most matches and where he will be needed, Both him and Pandya will loose fighting

Playing 11 will always be poor fielders. So they will leak few runs each game to make it exciting.

Coach Dravid will go with defnsive minset.

So all in all, We will be knocked out of tournament as combined effort which started with selectors.

Axar has limited ability but not a selfish batsman. Always shows the intent.

Jadeja is no super star in t20s but the problem is they have no one other than Axar matching his skill set.
