Combined vote share of ADMK + BJP :woot:

BJP > INC in TN

Congress share is misleading .

DMK gave way too many seats to Congress , 4/5 would have been good enough

Probably congress share could be 5/6% , DmK a bit higher

Yes ..

DMK will win because of the divided opposition ,  DMK always contest with strong partners unlike ADMK

One thing I appreciate  mk Stalin is how he maintain relationship with other partners .

ADMK is sort of local watered down version of BJP .

BJPs growth now is at the expense of ADMK though

"The stunning performance by the SPA comprising of DMK, Congress, CPI (M), CPI, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Kongu Nadu Makkal Desiya Katchi (KDMK), Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), and Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) is reminiscent of the combine’s 40/40 score in 2004, that led to the formation of the UPA-I government."

DMK 27% Congress 10.5% Muslim league 1.2% cpi, cpim 2.x% each voteshare....do you think admk n bjp should come together, otherwise looks very difficult? Does the vote transfer from one happen to the other?

This BS has been going on in TN politics for the longest time. I would almost throw up watching these "leaders" prostrate themselves at Jayalalitha's feet. And MGR's before that. And KK's.

Now MKS.

I would not be surprised in any way if Annamalai or other BJP politicians amass power, you will see the same sycophancy from their followers. It is weaved into their political culture. If you want to study the politics of sycophancy, feudalism and dynastic domination, look no further than TN.

Our dravidians are atheists only for God. But not for godman.

Stunningly nauseating to see this sycophancy. I've seen it a little bit in Karnataka growing up, but TN has mastered the art of sycophant politics.

True atheism should have no leaders, no followers, no organization, and no devotion to anything in particular, no groupist BS.

But, like you said, these guys are just not atheist. Their theism is clear in their devotion to the dude on the chair. It's their religion and he is their deity.

here is what i know. by now amit shah knows exactly who didnt vote for bjp, those who can be brought back will be appeased.

Sabka vikas is not happing this time, that is given.

I can see almost a sure-shot way of winning going by the patterns..

1. TMC gives 500 to general category n 1000 to sc/st women pm

2. AAP is starting 1000 pm for women from September 2024 in Delhi just before elections in Feb 2025

3. In MP, Shivraj Singh was immensely popular due to ladli behen yojna , again 1000 pm for women

4. In TN as well, 1000/- pm to women over 21 age. Targeted number= 1.06 cr women

5. Karnataka has stipulated money for 2000/- pm for women

I suggest BJP does similar (cash handouts to women) in up, Bihar, Assam, Raj. , Maha. Orissa etc.

The power of hindutva, growth and welfare-ism in form of cash handouts to women is my suggestion for winning to BJP.

If freebies was so successful, why would Congress lose so many elections? They have constantly promised lots & lots of cash, freebies. Including 2019LS, of minimum wages, so why did Congress lose back then? The right answer, is nobody knows anything.

Ultimately, elections are decided by voting turnout and BJP, dhamic side needs to resolve it fast. Find ways to make voting itself user-friendly, comfortable. Eg.  polling booths in ACs spaces.

This is precisely why I don't take anyone who identified themselves as this or that seriously. The thing I look forward is if the person operates from place of first principles or authority. Whether they call themselves atheists, religious, left, right etc.

Communists for instance show exactly the same kind of tribalism and group thing along with proclivity for violence as an religion could. But the belief is that they are disbeliever. But like radical religious zealot they are oblivious to their hypocrisies.

All that bluster pre-election has been squashed. I am least bit inconvenienced whether he stays in power or not syco!

Yes, you were fearing it will become true and tensed up. It was all to energize his cadre. It didn’t work completely, still 37% voted for him and he’s going to be sweared in as your PM. Here’s some stats for your perspective
