Vishy Anand settled down in Spain long back. But he had most of his tournaments in EUrope. So it was convenient for him.  But he also splits his time between India and Spain.

Anand moved back to India permanently in 2010-11. Lives in Chennai.

Most of the top footballers stay permanently in the country where their clubs are located and travel to their country for internationals.

But football is mostly a club driven sport these days.

To be honest , if any of us had the kind of fukkk you money that Kohli has we would do the same and stay the fukk out of this country as much as possible. :bootyshake:

The opposite actually, with that kind of money and fame India is a paradise. You are above the law in most things, your fan army will always be there to support you, you can literally buy and do anything and labor and other stuff is very cheap.

Everything wrong with India affects only poor and middle class people.

In other countries you have to live a more normal life and obey the law.

Not all people with money want to be above law.

They want to have normal life.

He should just retire. Don't think he is really interested in cricket anymore. Maybe just doing it for money for bit longer.

He has IPL for that. He can try delivering on "ee saala cup naamde" and torture RCB fans.

NRIs and OCIs :dontknow: can still come and go.
Pointless harping about someone whose "money earns money" for their lifestyle choices. It gets tiresome past a point and slides into jealous haranguing.

But I will call out his on field crap every mother-boarding, Ben-Stoking time.

Depends on the individual, most people would chose abroad but some would try to make a change within India - a permanent, everlasting one :om:

Having said that IMO earning that amount of money isn't possible without at least somewhat being a narcissist, if not greedy f*** as well.

The amount of cricket played these days not surprising if there are years when cricketers stay more than 180 days outside India.
