Meanwhile, Jaddu is the only recent Test player who played in both the Ranji matches. He starred in his Ranji return game with a match-winning 12 wicket haul. Say what you want about his LOI abilities, he has still got it from a Test match perspective, particularly in India. And he has the drive to hone his skills in domestics, not just make token appearances.

 

Rohit, Gill, Jaiswal, Pant have all skipped this second round of Ranji matches. Kohli, Rahul had skipped the first.

I'm satisfied that the bowler celebrated the wicket emphatically, unlike the Rohit one. If they had been diffident it would have felt put-on and insincere.
