He will ensure Bumrah's career ends before him

bumrah has been bowled into the ground, so he could probably indeed retire sooner than Kohli in tests.

From the article -

The report also claimed that the popular belief is Rohit will retire from Test cricket if India fail to reach the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. With the series tied at 1-1, the last two Test matches against Australia hold extra significance for India and their WTC Final dreams.

Reads more like Rohit Sharma will retire after making sure India do not reach WTC finals.

that's pretty much the reality

The last para sums up exactly what's wrong with Ind cricket.   Captains of top teams usually wish to retire on a high.   Whereas our Fatso loser is eagerly waiting to ensure Ind's early exit from WTC so that he can announce retirement.  :phehe:

If someone still doesn't retire or is dropped after averaging in single digits across the last 10 Tests as a 38 year old, then the selectors need to be changed. We lost a winnable series thanks to the two useless passengers who don't bring anything to the table.

BCCI doesn't seem to have any guts or accountability, so the selectors won't be changed either

Retiring for sure after this series as we are out of WTC race

It's more like ensuring we're out of WTC race and then leaving. Rohit and Kohli performed a great hatchet job on our chances. All we had to do to get to WTC was beating NZ at home and ensuring we had a close series with Aus. And we would've managed that without these two but they ensured we lost another tourney thanks to their incompetence.

Yup, they're leeches in the true sense of the word. Even parasites have more shame than them and leave their host after some time but these two have hung on for eternity.

And they brought down the greatest pacer we had. Imagine Bumrah without these two passengers to carry this whole time!

converted him into a 130 kph trundler by this test. Operation "Destroy Bumrah" was clearly planned and executed by Gambhir-Rohit; I am pretty sure that Gambhir loathes Bumrah internally.
