Never seen such a toothless bowler

Has no wicket taking delivery and evn drop catch was a false shot of marnus and not defending

Average 55 in this series in helpful conditions

This should be his last match for india

Also tells you about knowledge of so called experts here hyping him to be next shami

just unlucky @Frustrated

Some posters believe he is our best pacer.   As he beats the batter's bat almost 100 times in a day.  And few edges didn't carry to slips.  It's all due to bad luck.  :hysterical:    Bad luck continued to evade him when Lyon and Boland (who averages 3 in FirstClass) smashed him all over the park.

Bowlers are not unlucky if they miss edges. It happens because they are able to move ball from outside off and on length which can be left in test cricket. Disciplined batsmen try to leave those balls and trust bounce to avoid LBW/bowled.

The moment such bowlers come close to stumps or bowl bit fuller, it doesn't move and easy for batsman to either defend or score runs. Bowlers have to figure out how to make batsmen play at those with variations at that level.

The guy is playing his second overseas test. I thought he bowled pretty well. If you judge every newcomer so harshly after just a small sample size you'll be doomed to clinging on on past-it oldies rather than ever giving other bowlers chances to develop. These standards are never applied to veterans though who keep being serial underperformers

If he is the worst bowler you haven't watched Indian Cricket for long. We have had some really really bad ones lol.

His problem is that his very good balls are often followed by a wide down the leg side. Often it looks that he is trying too hard.

Also need to work on the stamina. Need to be in that 137-140 range and try to go above 140. He can be a good bowler for us. Someone needs to work with him.

Poor Akashdeep,

Everyone is abusing him now. Last test he saved the follow-on with the bat.

In second game it was Harshit who faced the criticism.

We are awfully hard on our youngsters, as a result we get mediocrity in form of Mukesh Kumar & Jaydev Unadkut.

Akash is officially 28 with a balding head

Mukesh is much better than this loser

Also he is not young

I am patient with harshit as he is 22 and also shown wicket taking capabilities in first test

He has actually outperformed Mukesh in every opportunity presented.
Duleep Trophy which happened just before the BGT, he left Mukesh to dust. Him and Harshit were best bowlers from that tournament.

His worrying sign is pace, that's down. He is always a 135-140k bowler at home with top speed at 143-144k but that's not happening post his recovery from dengue.

I am not happy with his returns either but if you think that we have better bowlers in the wings then that's not the case. He is one of the best we have right now.
