no negotiations at all, just cessation of fire.

Negotations will happen, behind the closed doors.
Just like this ceasefire, on Media US said they don't care...but in backdoors they were running and plotting their scheme.

I think we made some very strong gains by destroying camps and airbases - most we have made in decades. The govt will probably disclose more details informally or formally in the next few days.

Boss, we repeatedly bombed Pakistan all over heartland, so many major airbases. whenever, wherever we wanted.

And our ADS shield was practically impenetrable.

We have imposed a very heavy cost on PakMil for Pahalgam. Billions.  Publicly.  Honestly, lets not be greedy. Because realistically its not like we were going to invade them or "finish them off".

O bhai. India just wanted to crush terror centers which they did. They didn't want war with Pakistan but they had expected retaliation by Pakistan and were ready for it.

Exactly which is why it looks like a token action for the domestic vote bank and hype the politicians. Because we know

Enemies (masked) of India -> Pakistan -> Terrorists

Pakistan was always going to retaliate, putting our own citizens at risk.

We attacked terrorists, Pak retaliated, and the “hidden enemies” ensured a ceasefire.

If India had pushed to significantly reduce Pak military capabilities, the sacrifices of our citizens could have been justified somewhat.

Here the attempt was to redo the “surgical strikes” drama, which is why the media (including activity on social media by party handles) was actively involved, while the play was on for a ceasefire. They could have at least used the window to create even more damage to Pakistan.

PS Pak knows this pattern too.

And Pak should hand over all those bastards who planned 26/11 and the 93 blasts.

Lakhqvi, Dawood and what not.

No point of a ceasefire otherwise

Yes, a public surrender of top wanted terrorists should have been part of the ceasefire.

It is amply clear at this point that the US is an enemy state. They control the IMF and have no qualms about sending Pak money when it is using it’s weaponry to hit Indian civilians.

Republican or Democrat makes no difference.

We should develop serious defence co operation with Russia and the EU. Perhaps mend ties with China best we can.

Pakistan has to be sorted NOW.
For the first time in my life I am seeing concrete action against Pak terror. The cost for Pak has to be like Operation Sindoor.

We should blast their navy right away. Destroy their remaining planes. Also hit Pak merchant shipping.

Let them come begging for peace.

Sometimes, war is the answer.

Well said but GOI seems to have other plans.

@sandeep We are winning this exchange. Agreeing to a ceasefire now should come with huge benefits for us.

The idea of this conflict was to show Pak that terror attacks come at a price. We haven’t yet totally demonstrated that.

we've inflicted a very heavy unprecedented price on them, bud.

But yes, I would think that agreeing to the ceasefire should have come with tangible benefits.  And just because its not publicly announced, does not mean that it did not.

I do not think our leadership is so incompetent - no country would agree to a ceasefire from a position of dominance without some quid pro quo.  So lets not make pessimistic assumptions.

All news outlets are reporting Trumps role in the ceasefire. Mission accomplished in this episode of reality tv for him lol.

Nothing will happen.

can we be honest for a second?

Can we acknowledge the fact that Indian armed forces have invested and worked on bolstering and putting together a modern top-shelf ADS - capable of defending our country from Gujarat to JnK?  I mean this did not exist in the 90s or even the 2000s.

So lets not assume that the complacency of the past will repeat.  Clearly, things have changed.

We had booked a trip to Kashmir for the 21st of May. A lot of people we know were raving about this resort called Khyber.

We cancelled it. Now thanks to Trump the cancellation is wasted.

All the more reason to hate the USA.

Difficult to get back the terror heads. But we should have pushed for return of Jadhav at least, at least that would have been a symbolic victory.

To celebrate this ceasefire, let's play a 5 test, 7 ODI, 9 T20I series in August-September against these guys.

Yup, now since we have taken the token “revenge”, it is time for peace initiatives. How predictably these guys act!

Soon no one will take the subcontinent seriously.

Not only will we get them back. We will try them.

It will be the Indian equivalent of the Nuremberg trials.

And Indian Muslim lawyers will fight on behalf of the state of India against the terrorists. There can be no better end to it.

The foot soldiers we will bomb and execute in Pak.

We shouldn’t give two hoots about the ceasefire till Pak doesn’t hand over these people.

That's the silver lining in all of this.  Also We did get invaluable knowlege about such kind of  aerial warfare.

Now it is up to mass production and further advancements
