Ok so he snubbed modi publicly after losing world cup

To be fair it was a pr stunt by modi too close to loss when players were probably emotional and iyer being a strong individual who doesn't like him must have seen through the pr

But he is the best white ball batsman in team

He is the only real alpha youngster we have had and should have been captain for both white ball formats

But just for the modi snub and some ego issue with gambhir he is being dropped again and again

Even efforts were made to end his odi career even though he was india's best batsman in last world cup

Please end this politics in cricket and let him play on merits

Don't think so. Maybe its GG having his preference.

Iyer was not supposed to play first CT game, got chance due to injury and won us CT.

And what exactly were reason for thinking of dropping him when he had a blockbuster world cup

What is the Modi connection? I thought Iyer was dropped because he refused to play Ranji which irked BCCI. Same thing for Ishan Kishan

this is edited video

in full version both shook hands, afterwards he shook hands with kl no no words were spoken understandably , next in line was kuldeep but pm returned back to senior players

here is the video, team was disappointed and reactions may vary person to person and no one would wanted to look as if the loss does not matter

Yes Iyer was just mad about the loss. RW trolls spinned it as abusing PM

Ideally PM should not even have visited the dressing room at that point. It could wait

That's so random from RW.

Is he supposed to smile after losing a WC final, that too when Modi is shaking hands with the next player

I don’t think iyer is a big miss. He certainly is not white ball batsman in the team and

he never was anywhere near best batsman in the team in last World Cup.

Not just Iyer, even Gill seemed displeased that day. He also supported the farm protests on SM. Now the chosen one for BCCI.

BCCI & Gujju Shaw is only interested in money ...  If Gill generates more money than Iyer being in all squads, so be it

Don't think that's the issue.

May be GG had some issues with him at the KKR. He wasn't retained by KKR despite being the trophy winner captain.
