My Mallu Bro from Umrika !! True artist, high energy, not one of those fake kinds like Neha Kakkar!

Born in Kerala, did schooling in Amrika, later at PSG College, Coimbatore. Lives in Bengaluru. Proudly represents Indian roots/culture in his music, has found global acceptance. Does it better than Diljit IMO.

If you are going to bend over backwards so much for Pak, might as well give them a higher share of ICC revenue. It is clear that BCCI, GOI, public can't live a day without Pakistanis. The obsession is so unreal that you host opening ceremony/gala in the middle of the WC just for them. Can you imagine powerhouses like USA, China, Russia, Germany, UK, France, Japan doing that for their so called rivals?

It isn't just boomers @deathmonger, look at the Hotstar team (mostly youth) making such cringe ads every time before Indo-Pak contests. And the plethora of Pak youtubers who give reaction videos to Indian movies and content, watched by millions of young Indians. Indians who crave validation from Pooks.

Phir se nautanki chalu, what is this special function they do for Indo-Pak matches lol idiots

Its to entertain crowds pre-match. They should have also brought in the sri lankan singer Yohani.

So India brings viewership, money and singer. Srilanka provides infra support. Pakistan pre-match brings dua and post loss conspiracy theories and whole week of entertainment on youtube.

Done by SL Cricket or BCCI ?

Remember we lost 40 soldiers in Pulwama on this very day 6 years ago, whose full planning was done by a man sitting in Pakistani state's protection.

Indirectly they are suggesting the world Cup happens only to get this marquee match and rest of the 18 teams don't matter

It's not validation. It's for a sense of superiority.

While India has peeled off from Pakistan, it is not yet at the "next level" so to speak where the rest of the world gives it much bhaav.

So comparison with Pakistan makes you feel good.

Need 10-15 years more of peeling away.

25-30 Olympic medals with 5-7 golds, world class infrastructure (bullet trains as well as extensive metro networks), human spaceflight program, moderately famous global pop culture (like the korean wave circa early 2000s or the japanese wave in the early 80s or the chinese wave currently) etc can be achieved by 2040.

Then no one will give them bhaav.

Also much of this interaction on social media or elsewhere happens between North Indians and Pak Punjabis who are close to each other socioeconomically (even though North Indians are slightly superior and will peel away in the coming years).

The richer part of India, ie South/West India don't particularly care about Pakistan and the poorer parts of PAkistan ie Balochistan/KPK/rural Sindh prolly don't have internet access, literacy to even interact with Indians.

Hanumankind, Bloodywood, Rajamouli.

These guys have found some catchet globally amongst non desis (Diljit is popular amongst desi diaspora which does form a significant part of the Anglo countries. Again, nothing wrong with that).

Not part of the mainstream but has enough of a niche.

Even the Korean wave started this way in the early 2000s and the Japanese wave in the early 80s before having a big boom a decade later and then becoming part of the global mainstream a further decade later.
