Shamim.Miah Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Any idea why Manish Pandey doesn't get into Indian test Squad? Has first class average 50+ with strike rate 64+! that is really good stats. Would be a good middle/lower order batsman having that aggressive approach. tweaker, Forever Indian and beetle 3

bihutoli Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I recall Rahane being kept out of the India playing eleven/squad to accommodate Yuvraj/Raina etc. Seeing the same thing happening here with Manish Pandey. Can't fault Rohit Sharma here though, he's done all he can to prove that he is unsuitable for tests. tweaker and Mosher 2

Tibarn Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I think Shami and Ishant are going to have the pacer slots locked up, so hopefully Umesh and Bhuvi can get released for Ranji matches rather than carrying drinks. Don't see why we picked 4 pacers when the most we will play is 2. tweaker 1

MCcricket Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Selectors these one especially are retards, clowns , imbeciles, loosers, same squad , Dhawan, Rohit, no Pandey, K Yadav no team squad development loosers, that is the essence team selection should always be about good players n grooming one or two potentially good ones here no one for a year tweaker 1

Laaloo Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Patil also hinted at handing Rohit Sharma the chance to establish himself in the longer format of the game by providing him with opportunities. "Rohit (Sharma) is a fabulous player but he hasn't got a longer run in Tests cricket. He has been picked for one Test and then rested an entire season and again picked. So the selection committee, along with coach and captain, have decided that whoever would be picked will be given a fair amount of chances," Patil said while addressing the media after the squad selection Disturbing. Vilander Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Talented Rohit is suited to play in India, i expect him to score a 400 in one of these tests. We can expect lots of Runs in India , may be a few double centuries, he will certainly cement his place on away tours and score 200-300 aggregate in the 15 odd away tests and will be back in India to repeat the cycle. Good luck Rohit, class(lkg, ukg level) playa.
express bowling Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 55 minutes ago, Mosher said: Will other players too get the same longer run or is this only reserved for favorites like Rohit and Ishant When a player has specific and identifiable problems which is stopping him from succeeding in international cricket then the best approach is to help him solve those problems in the nets and in FC matches. Just giving him more chances in international matches does not help either the country or the individual in question...because he is going to keep on being inconsistent, or even fail completely, because of the unresolved problems. This is a point that our cricket fraternity does not seem to understand properly. Rohit Sharma, getting repeated chances in test matches, is a prime example of this issue. tweaker and Mosher 2
beetle Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Seriously....who has Pandey pissed off to be treated like this?
Ankit_sharma03 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 What the hell just happened, same old crap. For me 2 basic blunders picking mishra n rohit and not selecting pandey n kuldeep. 1. Kuldeep over mishra- Get over mishra, the guy is just an avg bowler with no future. I dont expect him to take responsibility when ashwin is injured as main bowler. Neither as a leg spinner he has been that threatning. Play him at home he might take wkts when he travels to overseas he ll be same below avg bowler. Mishra should play domestic as domestic needs some good bowlers. This is the best chance to blood in kuldeep. He would get to play on doctored pitches against batsman of NZ,aus n ENg and this would be ideal. He will learn more playing under kumble n being on grpund with ashwin rather playing for UP with chawla n Raina. His style of bowling can help wrap the tail easily and also after playing jadeja n ashwin handeling him would be a problem. Being a wrist spinner he could also be horse for so there is future in him. 2. Pandey over Rohit- What wrong has pandey done. Performed when given a chance. He can also change the game in a session. Let me 1st come to what Sandeep patel said- "Rohit (Sharma) is a fabulous player but he hasn't got a longer run in Tests cricket. He has been picked for one Test and then rested an entire season and again picked. So the selection committee, along with coach and captain, have decided that whoever would be picked will be given a fair amount of chances," What dellusional world does Sandeep patil live in and why didnt any reporter counter questioned him. What a piece of crap that excuse was. Rohit played in SA, NZ all games and dropped in Eng and then he Played 3 out of 4 games in Aus, BAng & SL all games, SA series- 2 games. So When on earth has he played one game and dropped for a SEASON.....like really the word he used SEASON. Does he know what season means. IF that was the stupid excuse why was Binny dropped. How Many chances does the KATRINA KAIF of batting would get. Batting in test and ODi are two diff thing. Look at the recent example of Alex hales in ENg pak test n odi series or take Guptill. Take yuvraj singh's example. Rohit Sharma isnt with all talent but the cost of word talent he has been gifted enough chances. This pattern is getting annoying now- Rohit fails and gets dropped so that his failure dont last long , then given chance he plays one innings in 10 and dropped and on basis of one innings he plays 10 more games. In the end its said he hasnt been given a proper chance. Tell that to Kl rahul who has shown how to grab a chance. Has Indian Team selection become all about giving chances in Charity , What happened to grabbing the chances thing. If so forget the word domination in world cricket forever. tweaker, Mosher and Forever Indian 3

Any testing pitch demands proper game and pateince. The guy lacks all. Got out on 30 when he was set in duleep trophy on such patta, if shot making was the only criteria to score 300-400 well we should also include yusuf , yuvraj n hardik express bowling and gakgupta 2
