Ankit_sharma03 Posted October 5, 2016 Author Posted October 5, 2016 It can be worrying sign for ODi series as Sran is injured, Shami may need some rest and now bhuvi is injured. Ashwin also had some injury. We might have a week bowling attack in Odi series. tweaker 1

There'll be Bumrah, Dhaval, Aaron, Hardik and a couple of rookies can be considered too. Ishant might also get a game or two as a warm up for the next test series. G_B_ Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 and trolling aside, Ishant, Lokesh Rahul, Dhawan, Bhuvi.... the injuries/misfortunes are all piling up. Openers and pacers. India will be very wise to keep Shami well rested. No point in him playing the LOI with a busy test schedule. I do hope India try Shardul. I think we know what Umesh can bring to the table. I expect spinners to do most of the heavy lifting. Worth a shot in resting Shami and playing Shardul and Umesh. Shardul has the potential to go allout in bursts of 4 overs or so. I think this injury to Bhuvi highlights India need a big depth of pace bowlers. Need a depth of 6-7 in tests and 6-7 in LOI. Its ok at home when the spinners are in charge.

Mosher Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 So many injuries and this is just the start of a long home season . Hope Bhuvi gets back soon. He needs to work on his fitness and put on some muscle if he wants to play tests. With a fitness freak like Kohli leading the team don't think any player will take fitness lightly.

rkt.india Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 But I have always suspected with that kind of action he has, he is bound to get back issues when putting extra effort. tweaker 1
Texan Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Umesh will probably get his spot back. We should try playing 5 bowlers with Pujara opening. Bring Mishra in as well. tweaker 1
