sourab10forever Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Not only catching, but also including ground fielding and manning the boundaries...who is the best indian fielder ever? I would say jaddu..most dominating indian guy on field in terms of attacking the ball and forcing run-outs...saves a lot of runs. I know it's tough to compare older generations with the current because of the huge improvement in standards of fielding and the quality of outfield/madical care available which allows fielders to dive around with ease and tension free...still... tweaker 1
G_B_ Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Rahane for me. Better catcher Sent from my Wileyfox Swift using Tapatalk tweaker and beetle 2

G_B_ Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Then probably jaddu Sent from my Wileyfox Swift using Tapatalk Would also like to mention eknath solkar. That dude used to field in front of batsman at silly point right in their face without any protective gear. Don't know if that counts as ground fielding. But prassana Chandrasekhar bedi all said solkar reduced their bowling averages Sent from my Wileyfox Swift using Tapatalk
velu Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 its jaddu .. best outfielder as well , and is thrown travels like a tracer bullet
putrevus Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Azhar would be the best all round fielder India ever had, he could be awesome in slips, silly point and also could fielder anywhere in field and had good arm if not rocket arm. nevada 1

sandeep Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Jaddu is good, but Azhar in his pomp was just as good.

Sandeep99 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Jadeja followed by Raina and Kaif. The way they cover the cricket field with such ease is amazing.. As far as catches are concerned - Azhar, Dravid, Rahane are easily the best.. (I heard about Solkar but the list is strictly from whatever cricket I saw)..
express bowling Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 So many really good fielders nowadays. Different players excel at different positions.
nevada Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Sir Jaddu does the kind of fielding which makes you think he is worth a spot for that alone. From yesteryear, Robin Singh was a terrific fielder - diving, catching, stopping runs at 33-36 years of age. Too bad we never got to watch him in his prime.
Temujin Khaghan Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 will never forgive him for messing up the crucial catch of cook in England series
