We are on course to lose another ODI Series?

calm down.  Not losing yet.  And its a blessing to put pressure on our underachieving batting.  Rather them be forced to improve now instead of winning BS series at home and then getting exposed in big tournaments.

It's not a big deal. Dhawan, Ashwin, and Shami did not play the series, and Bumrah missed this game. Jadeja and Rahul are both likely to be in our 1st 11, and they aren't in the series either.

The only disappointing thing is Rohit's form after playing well in the Test series.

Bowling has been decent. Its the batting that has let us down. Rohit is out of form. Dhoni - lottery player these days. Pandey - inconsistent so far. Only consistent player is Kohli. Have a feeling we will get owned by England in the ODI's.

Yes... Rohit,    Dhawan,    Kohli,     Dhoni,     Rahul,     Pandey / Jadhav,    Pandya,     Jadeja / Axar,     Ashwin.....will be a better line  up.

Yes, I am happy Yadav is bowling well, and am happy with what Pandya has shown so far. Missing Dhawan is the big thing in the batting lineup, IMO. Dhawan is the opener who is better at chasing out of him and Rohit, who is a better 1st innings player.

Honestly, I'm not sure Pandey fits at 5. He needs a little more time in the middle. He usually bats at 3 or 4 for KKR and is more of a player one builds a innings around rather than an a player with strong acceleration ability.  We may have to flip him and MS in the order if MS's batting follows today style.

I'm not sure if MS is carrying a niggle or what. A 11 off 36 is an outlier for him. He wasn't able to rotate strike today, which is the main thing that should make him an ideal 4, with the ability to power boundaries later.

Rahul is quality. Dhawan needs to get a move on early. Can't have both him and Rohit take their sweet time to get set and Dhoni lunging around the crease later on. This will put too much pressure on Rahul/Pandey/Pandya later on.

its just a bilateral, in clutch games there is very little doubt that India full strength team will do well against NZ full team on any surface.

also its nice that NZ win 2 games, good competition.

The next match is Diwali eve match. "Traditionally" India wins it to make keep public happy.

Yes..it's all bullshit. I don't take these shorter format bilateral games seriously unless it is a tournament like world cup, t20wc or champions trophy.

LOL! Don't think anyone's surprised with Rohit ka form. It's natural! Will easily beat them in 5th one. Both team look balanced with the absence of some players from our side.

Sure, but over the last 5 years Rohit has the highest batting average for opening batsmen in ODIs, even higher than Amla. This is why it is weird he is not performing at all this series.
