Bhai, they are protecting Dhoni because he's poster boy of CSK (a movement which gave so much pride to that part of the country). If poster boy is discredited , then movement will be also, hence chutskis work overtime on this forum to wipe dhoni's bum, trying to ensure its image is clean.

Now that you have mentioned it, there's one tamilian guy in ICF. He was accusing others of being racist that the reason many hate Dhoni is because he is representing Chennai. I mean seriously :facepalm:They are even ready to bring racism in order to defend this guy.

Same guy who said.. Let's pledge our support to RSA cause his state player wasn't selected. :hysterical: He should be the last one talking

Yea...lol...what an irony...looks like he received lot of flak there and now trying to come back. Lets see, next game Rahul will not be selected and he will start petition for secession from India.

Saha maybe the greatest keeper ever to play cricket , but we aren't winning a test series in SA/Eng/Aus/NZL with him at @ 8 and Ashwin batting at 6.

Either Saha has to improve his batting to reasonable levels to bat at 6 or we need to find spinning all rounder who can at 6 .

Pandya is a great find for us but that is completely neutralized by a wkt keeper who is batting at 8.

This is why when Saha was injured we should have tried Rishabh Pant instead of Parthiv Patel.

Clearly the people who say replace Saha haven’t see the previous test keeper “keep”......Saha needs to go down the track to Morkel/Rabada when we eventually by the looks of it will save the game on day 5...That will win him “some fans” I guess.

Saha’s keeping is indispensable considering how we drop everything behind the wickets apart from the keeper.

I will be subjective here...Dhoni was adequate with straightforward chances and we also had some good slip fielders most of his career but we need a stellar keeper now.

Let us be honest We don’t have bowlers who will rattle opposition with raw pace...we need to take every chance we create.

If you are really concerned about a 7 or 8’s impact with the bat then we have bigger problems than we think.

Averaging 55 in Newzealand and nearly 40 in England is pretty great for a subcontinent wicket keeper.

Saha will average more than that in future.. you watch

So Saha is just a keeper now like wade was.. His batting doesn't count.. Sachin chamchas :hysterical:

If we aren't gonna keep hold of catches at slips, we have zero chance of winning any tests overseas let alone series wins.

So what's the point though ? We need to improve the slip catching as well as find a competent no.6 .

They shouldn't be mutually exclusive.

Saha's keeping has been the only worthwhile thing about our fielding in Tests, and people want to drop him

We are never going to get 10 wickets abroad, let alone 20 with the kind of slip catching we have.. Saha is the only saving grace... I always wish the batsmen never get a thick edge, so ball wouldn't fly beyond first slip, so it's within the reach of Saha..

Good keeper + avg batsman >> Good batsman + avg keeper in Tests.. One drop of du plessis or ab might cost 100 runs.. We saw that with Cook / Smith and a bunch of others at home

Lol I know who you're referring to and we'll what can I say? From my time on ICF since IPL started, I always got the feeling the csk fans were touchy and took IPL really seriously for some unknown reasons. It always seemed that they would take csk losses harder  than Indian losses. I never noticed that with any other IPL fans. I mean they used to write essays and essays dissecting each losses :cantstop:

Well those die hard csk fans are not here anymore ever since meyeppan was caught. Ironically one of their top cheerleaders icf username was ganeshran. Ganesh ran lol :hysterical:

India is the only team currently playing a specialist wk in all 3 formats :phehe:

If you mean Dhoni in LOI, then he is playing as --for want of a better description --  a non-captaining version of Mike Brearley. Whatever he is, standing coolly in cool dark shades while the ball goes between keeper and first slip doth not a specialist keeper make.

But India is perennially one batting collapse away from the trolls coming out of the woodwork gunning for Saha's head.
