Ashwin/Jadeja/Jayant/Mishra- will they be good enough outside INDIA

on INDIAN tracks even a Jayant Yadav looks more dangerous then UMESH Yadav.

 

Jaddu looks UNplayable- not even batsman like Root and the best batsman in new Zealand could manage to play him...DEADLY TIGER on Indian tracks out there for a hunt.

Ashwin is the KING of the Jungle..animals( opposing batsman) are here to come and sacrifice themselves.

why do I find that indian spinners seriously become Useless outside...leave aside taking wickets - they become run giving machines.

 

DO you guys think that AGILE version of Ashwin will be able to Spin the ball in Australia/England and other regions outside india and Lanka.

 

if they bcom so BAD that cant even hold their positions on performances its so bad.

 

Dhoni played jadeja and Ashwin on pacy tracks in Australia and I remember both of giving free runs to Australian batsman. both these guys had great reputations as big spinners-

will they succeed abroad or should we ask another question..DO Spinners succeed outside INDIA and Lanka?

Its the same as asking do batsmen who are not from subcontinent survive when they come to play here? They don't. Similarly, our spinners wont be of use outside. They are not as good as we think.

Also, the curators in other countries would know and be told how to prepare a pitch to nullify India's strength. 

 

In the history of cricket, there are few players who have performed well almost anywhere. Shane Warne himself was a failure in India, but we never talk of that.

Finger spinners have gained a big advantage with DRS, Ashwin has upped his game n bowling has improved great deal, he has it in him to perform abroad, Jadeja can play a role on certain tracks .

We need a good leggie n that will take conditions wkts out of the equation, also the big diff is use of dukes n kookaburras also give the ball more overspin to get more zip on those tracks n with those balls

IN australia, england, nz and sa we only need one spinner out of ash, jaddu and jayant

its a shame jayant is not a legspinner though...

because he is not a legspinner, jaddu will always be a better pick if we need only 2 spinners in home conditions (6-1-4 combination)

because its not advisable to pick 2 similar type spinners unless they are both of high quality like warne (genius level) and mcgill (decent)

 

aus, eng, nz, sa (5-1-5 combination) ----->  shami, bhuvi, hardik, umesh + ashwin

aus, eng, nz, sa (6-1-4 combination) -----> shami, bhuvi, umesh + ashwin

asian conditions (5-1-5 combination) -----> shami, umesh + ashwin, jaddu, jayant

asian conditions (6-1-4 combination) -----> shami, umesh + ashwin, jaddu

 

the battle is on b/w hardik on one end and karun nair and rohit sharma on the other in overseas conditions...

Only Ashwin will get to play test matches outside Asia.

In English/NZ/Aus/SA types of conditions - only one spinner will be selected.

Ashwin and if he is unavailable then probably Jayant Yadav or a legspinner should be selected. (Jadeja cannot do much on those pitches).

But yea not even Ashwin is that good to be much impactful on those tours. We just dont have any spinner at the Shane Warne levels or Chandrasekar/Bedi levels or at Anil Kumble (later career) levels. Even Anil Kumble in earlier career could not do much.

I think given Ash's solidity with the bat, now we can afford to select a second spinner on away tracks that have some assistance for spin, even if later in the game.  Ideally a wicket-taking wrist spinner would be a nice complement.

Jadeja's darts can come in handy in some conditions overseas but his batting technique is still questionable overseas ....Ashwin is good enough to play as a batsman in overseas pitches and the way he is evolving as a bowler gives me confidence that in round 2 on these tours he will do much better....not sold on Jayant yet as a batsman or as a bowler....yes there is some talent there but don't think he will start winning games overseas yet.

I have hopes from Mishra too.

why chahal is rated so much by people
I find him very mediocre ODI bowler like rahul sharma types
 neither he turns the ball nor he is tall and accurate enough
 he doesn't have strength in shoulders to get the zip of the dead pitch (like mishra) 
clueless in IPL against good batsman
his batting is also pure zero

only kuldeep and may be gopal are the future prospect

Add Bhandari to that list.....he has been getting some wickets this season and he is only 23 now.......

Since, he has been playing for lower league, not sure..how valuable those wickets are.......

In one of the matches, he took 4 wickets for 0 runs against HP.....

Well, he turns the ball pretty well.....He gets a good zip of the surface as well....

Ashwin if this level of performance continues should be a threat anywhere .

But even at his best he can only win matches in the 2nd innings overseas .It's the job of our seamers keep parity in the first innings so that Ashen can try to exploit conditions in 3rd and 4th innings.

In 1st innings atbest he can do win SA or Aus wickets is be tight and hold up one end creating pressure . Ultimately it's upto our seamers if we are to win overseas ,they have to produce match winning spells ,like Ashwin and Jadeja are doing at home .
