Younis Khan struck his maiden hundred in Australia and in the process became the first player to score a hundred in all 11 nations that have hosted Tests:

11 Number of countries in which Younis Khan has scored Test centuries, including the UAE; he becomes the first player to do so. He scored his maiden century - in his 11th innings - in Australia to complete the set. His previous highest score in Australia was 87, at the MCG in 2004.

2 Number of players with centuries in all ten Full Member nations (excluding the UAE) - Rahul Dravid and Younis. Dravid never played in the UAE. Mohammad Yousuf, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene also had centuries in ten countries.

1984 The last time a batsman older than Younis, 39, scored a century in Australia - Clive Lloyd, at the age of 40 in Brisbane. Overall, Younis is the sixth oldest visiting batsman to score a century in Australia and third oldest at the SCG after Jack Hobbs and Warwick Armstrong.

He should have scored more hundreds. Excellent player he missed lot tests due to politics of PCB.Unlike Mohd Yousuf who had one great year this guy has been very consistent.

Why are we degrading players by mentioning flat tracks, so called master technician Dravid  how many hundreds and how much did  he average  in SA , SL and Australia.

No ordinary player scores 10k runs in test matches and this guy has phenomenal conversion rate.

Regardless of what his age, it does not matter. He is a brilliant player and one of the best which Pakistan produced. He scored runs when other Pakistani bats were failing. He has scored plenty of times in tough situations and bailed them out.

34 centuries in 115 games is sachinish/cookish..

his average in UAE is just 3 runs higher than his overall average ..

he would have done better if he is playing for other team

Silly stat...highly likely to go to a Pakistani given Pakistan don't host now and UAE didn't host when Pak were hosting.

Pak legend.

A great feat by a great test batsman. One of the most unpleasing batsmen to watch. But he is such a gritty customer. Also his one day record too is very modest to  favourably compare him with a lot of  his contemporaries. Yet a great achievement. Kudos to Younis Khan

Got more 100s than Test 50s; amazing conversion rate... shows how tougher it gets to get him out once he is settled in...

Always had great respect for him. No fuss, no bullshit like others.

Didn't he throw a tantrum when he was dropped from the ODI squad?

Big crybaby he is.  Puts his ambitions ahead of the team, yet wants to be known as a team man.  Decent bat, good enough to be a leading light for Pakistan batting, whatever that's worth.

But then if Parthiv Patel or Dinesh Karthik or Robin Uthappa were green-bros, they would be national ATGs by now.

Yeah, its not related to the OP, just felt like piling on and throwing in some greenbro flamebait.

Younis Khan 34 Test hundreds in 206 innings most away from home.

Dravid 36 hundreds in 286 innings.

If Dravid was the wall, YK's the whole damn house.

:phehe:
