I also have bad feeling about the second test.The team management is going by reputation & are not ready to drop out of form players.Young players like Nair has to sit out even.after scoring a triple century in his last inning.Jayant ' name will be the first on the chopping block

 

Kumble has made it clear Rahane will not be dropped under any circumstances.I don't think Virat will drop Ishant.

One good thing is the Aussies will still go for it. If this were England they would have shut shop after winning first test, especially with flat pitches.

Normally Bangalore pitch is very flat a flat pitch with slight turn will do something similar to the pitches for England series

We don't have a great record at Bangalore, 6 wins and 6 losses. 

 

If it is similar to England series that should render O Keefe and Lyon half the bowlers they were in Pune.

Kumble is being a stubborn mule here.

We should play players in form .period.

That does not mean Rahane is dropped...it just means he has to work a bit on his form.If we did not have a ready replacement ..then it was a different matter.

Making a last time triple centurian sit out just because Rahane has been good in the past years does not make sense. Current form should matter over past form. 

I am a big Rahane fan ...but he should sit out and Nair should be given a chance. 

Besides I don't understand the need for a coach or even a captain to declare something like this in a press conference days before the match.

If it is to boost a players confidence...then it should be done one on one with the player.

If he is boosting Rahane's confidence here...he is also demoralizing Nair publicly .

Spinners are going to get some help for sure if not early at least later.No boring draw.
